I'm from Spain. I've received calls for a week from the same phone number.

I live in Switzerland and had a missed call from this same number this morning. I tryed to call back several times but it is always occupied. I never applied for any VISA in USA or Australia but, for what I read here, I also suspect this is some kind of scam. Pay attention!

Hi! I also did recieve a phone call from this number 1-212-660-9970 and pretty much the same U did...I also registered myself in Immigration Skilled Program in Australia. On last Sunday I mean three days before I had a conversation with a woman with... as I far as I m concerned and can tell...  pretty nice Australian accent..while filling out an internet questionnare I obviously didn't do the last stage of registration on this AUSFIS service which was to pay for a visa with a credit card and a 3 days ago she called me and at the and of this conversation she told me to give her required data from my credit card and after that I hung out.
Right now I m in a "process" of writing an email to Australian Embassy in Poland to ask them about this whole suspicious AUSFIS...

BE CAREFUL !!!! all of you that recieve this call from this number+12126609970 ...you subscribe to a site that promises you a green card in Australia.
All they want is your credit card number an take your money.They are not an legal company and they don't have a real adress. They use a satelite phone so can not be traced ( probably).
DO NOT GIVE TO THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER!!!!

I'm living in France, and I received the same call ! She's name was Heliane ans she speak little french. When I saw yours discussion, I immediately hung up, and I' lost all my credit ...The first time she called me and I pick up whitout speak. The second time, she called me in unkown ... Thank you to you in any case !

i receive the call from this number also but nobody is talking to me.i am in south africa

I´m swedish and have just received a "missed" call from the above mentioned number. As I have a policy of NEVER answer to ANY anonymous, hidden or undisplayed suspicious calls I´m puzzled why (some)one has called me from this number!

As I have absolutely no idea of how and what to do to avoid being a subject of future calls from this number I would be very grateful if some kind spirit would be so kind and illuminate and tell me what and how I should do, proceed from here, to avoid being victim of fraud?!

I have NEVER applied for anykind of Visa - anywhere! Can someone please tell me if these calls constitute a real threat to me - of anykind? Should I be worried that I´m about to become a victim of anykind of fraud? Is there a impending, imminent risk that my money in my bank account will be taken, stolen, from my account - even if I never have nor will answer to ANY calls of these origin plus never have given out my account number to anyone?

Don´t know why, from where or what to do to avoid being targeted from calls from this number! I want this number to stop calling me! Forever! I do not want to be related to receiving calls from this number - period!

From what I understand it is an attempt of fraud, wanting me to give out my my credit card/VISA and/or bank account number.

As now I am not responding any of the calls with the numbers that I don't have on my phonebook, I tend to check all of them on google, to see if something is important, and I was very surprised to find this discussion that is going on. All reporting from different countries. And as far as I can see no one knows how to stop it.... Very interesting! ...

Hello there I am from Holland, I've been receiving phone calls since I applied to participate to the green card visa lottery on 2005, I guess that they are just trying to convince people to apply some kind of visa... perhaps it's a fraud because I didn't receive any notification since that time...

Well I don't know what else to say, just ignore it!

HI I'm Rudi from serbia,and i've answered yesterday on that number :+12126609970; and nice woman begin to talk me about my working visa for Australia.I HAVE NEVER APPLIED FOR ANYKIND OF VISA!!!!!!!!!
She sad to me my user name acount for there site ,but they wont give me password until I give her my bank or visa card acount number!!First she sad it is amount of 448 euros,but i sad to her that i dont have it,and then she sad ok!,u can pay as 249 euros now for some test  and after the rest of it! Than I asked her how much is to bring my girlfriend with me, and she sad for two of as is 558 euros!!!!!!!hahahahahaahahaahahahaahahahahaahahahaa!!!!!!! In that moment i start to have some doubt!!!!!......there is no +1-212 for any of state....1 is for U.S. and 212 is Maroco!!!! I asked to send me an e-mail but they still didnt!!!!! PEOPLE DO NOT GIVE THEM NO MONEY OR CREDIT CARDS NUMBERS!!!!!!!

Just missed a call from this number.  Glad I missed it and thanks for having this discussion board, it's extremely valuable!  

For those of you who keep getting unwanted calls - cell phone service providers have a "blacklist" service. Check out if your provider has one of those, it might help!
