got call no answer

I received a call from 212-753-7989 telling me that they could lower my interest on my credit card.  They even told me what my credit card number was then the woman pass me to a man.  This man told me that they were going to charge me $800 and when I told them to forget it, he told me that I couldn't stop it.  I hung up on them called my credit card company and had my card canceled.  I told them what had happen and they said these people are buying information and calling people.

I received a call from 212-753-7989 telling me that they could lower my interest on my credit card.  I wanted to know what credit card, since I don't have one, but I couldn't get my phone to let me press 1 for more info.  I really wanted to mess with these people.

Called, left no message.

I got the same call. Pressed one and told them I wanted to know what the call was regarding considering I have one credit card and it's never had an outstanding balance month to month I didn't know what interest he would be talking about. Then he hung up on me. Scam!

Same call number. Didn't answer, called back busy. Who are these quacks?

This old spoofed number is CURRENTLY being re-used by the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. people that have given their card numbers to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others before they are cheated! They have resorted to re-using old numbers since their supply of 305-368 **** numbers lost their effectiveness.

So much for a "DO NOT CALL" registry.  Becomes more of a joke everyday !!

These people call all the time and we do not answer our phone.  Of course, they hang up when the answering machine starts.  Can they not be stopped!!  They are now calling our cell Phones.

Yep, got a call from 212-753-7989, and I am CA, what the heck.  Bogus.  No msg left.
