He said my computer is sending error codes to their server, implying he's from Microsoft or my computer manufacturer, and he'll help walk me through clearing up the problem. He said my computer could crash at any given moment and I'd lose everything. He asked if I was near my computer. Yes. Is it on? Yes. Ok, so I need you to read me off some serial numbers and then I'll request access to your computer and clear the errors for you. I asked him "Are you fu&&ing kidding me? Do you think I'm stupid?" He hesitated, then asked if I was still near the computer. I asked him the same questions again. Then he put his "supervisor" on who started the same spiel. I told him I know this is a scam and I'm not this stupid and hung up.

Polite sounding guy with a british accent who called at 8AM on a Saturday. Wanted to talk about "the windows computer at your home" and I immediately hung up.
