Standard fraud attempt from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be "Alex from computer maintenance department".  They were likely trying to hijack my computer, or scare me into giving a credit card number.

The CallerID was obviously spoofed and I feel sorry for the person that actually owns this number.  They will probably be getting lots of undeserved complaint calls.

I just got a call from this number as well. Previous comment indicates it's from a fraudulent source. Thanks for the tip.

I just got a call from this number too. I told them to get a life!

Call in the middle of the night with a prompt hang up...freaky but good to know it's not a prank call but just more of these unwanted phishing calls.

I constantly get a call from this number and after saying hello several time a female with a very sultry voice answers with the comment goodbye

got them calling me twice tonight (may5th 2015) both times sounded like the same person after i told him he "was so full of [***]" the first time he called me back 2 hours later using the wrong last name so i just kept saying no lol definitely a scam anyone who knows anything about electronics is MAC and MICROSOFT tech support NEVER call you unless you have previously sent in a ticket for repairs

[***] calling at 1130 at night, either waking everyone up, or those that are still awake freaking them out as nothing good comes from a call that late at night.

Robocall of some sort.  Didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail.  Only heard a robot say :goodbye" and hung up.

Second time tonight!  WTH???  I answered, nothing but "goodbye"

when call came in, answering machine said unknown number yet showed 212-777-865 on caller id. Said hello three times, no answer although I could hear background noise, like a call center, then they hung-up.

I came in from the garage and the call flipped over to my answering machine. No message...only call centre background noise. As I do not know anyone in the 212 area code I agree with other posters....more fraudsters!

Now calling Toronto at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Though I recognized the NYC area code, and have friends there, did not answer as no info on call display. Robocall disconnected after 3 rings. No message. Obviously a scam.
