It's direct TV for promotions. I called direct and asked then about the number they said it was theirs I asked them to take me off their is and still getting calls.

Got a call from 213-289-5605. Didn't answer. Looked it up while the call was still hot. Yep. Scam. Thanks, Google!

I have received several calls from this number at different times in a day and they never leave a message.  I do not answer numbers I do not know exspecially one's from CA, FL, etc.

I got a call from this number and they said that they were a loan company. They called me by my name and told me that I was eligible to receive a loan of 1500 dollars, but that I would have to make a down payment of $150. I did not make the payment. I tried to call them back to see what the name of the company was but couldn't understand the person on the other end because he spoke with a heavy accent.

Same thing here I need to check my bank statement. I wonder if Direct Tv really screwed up? I hope it's not that bad.

Moral of the story, dont sign up for Direct TV, as they got their data stolen a while back, hence your info is readily available for these telemarketing scammers (they pretend to be Direct TV, offer you free upgrades if you confirm your info and maybe add the one or two key bits of info they are missing) and if you confront Direct TV about it, they wont do a thing other than shrug their shoulders and hang up on you if you ask about it.  And they (the scammers that is) will call you again and again and again and again.  Funny part is that the reason I signed up for Direct TV is for certain channels.  They stopped carrying them shortly thereafter. Wish I never switched to them.

I also received a call on my cell phone from this number.  Same thing happened as all the responses above.  I have Directv buy they would never call and not leave a voice message.  Block this number.

Received numerous calls from 213-289-5605. I actually called the number back and was put on hold forever...hummmm.  Do not answer their calls!!

Strange that it may be a DirectTV number, we have that. But, I answered, and the phone hung up. I called the number back to get taken off the call list and was answered by a woman clearly waking up and answering her cell phone......

This number has tried to called me three times in the past hour. So glad I set up my phone so that I only receive calls from my contacts.

said it was DirecTv, informing me that my account will now include the 'premium sports package' at no additional cost, and thanked me for being a loyal customer. Didn't ask for any additional account info or anything, so I suppose it was a relatively harmless scam so far. If they already have my name and cell number, they have nothing more after that call.

If they call back and ask for more info, now I'll know.

I got the same call. When I called DirecTV myself, they showed someone had called pretending to be me to order Premium Sports Package which had indeed been added to my acct. This is a scam for online viewing thru our acct. Be sure to change your password when this happens. DirecTV can also set your acct. to indicate "No promo calls" so you know it's fake if you get another one.

I got the same thing. It was 9pm and he didn't ask for anything except how to pronounce my name which he already knew.

This number had called several times in the last few minutes. Glad I didn't answer because it looks like they are a SCAM.

this number called tonight and i spoke with the guy he said he was with direct tv but when i called direct tv the lady that i spoke with said this is a scam

Just received a call from this number.  I immediately checked this site because I never answer calls from numbers that aren't stored in my phone book.  Glad to know this is a scam.  I'll be blocking this number.
