Just received message from Steve Martin with same threat--middle eastern accent only different phone number - 213-293-3591

Received same phone message.  Very garbled so could not understand the name.  Claimed to be from the Dept of Legal Affairs with US Treasury calling about legal action that has been started against me.  If I didn't call back then should have my attorney call.  There is no such department in US Treasury.  Total scam.

include 213-293-3900 as another number these losers are using...

Steve Martin (with heavy Indian accent) left a message on our home voicemail with the number 213/455-2086 yesterday saying that it was urgent that I call him back; he went on to say that he was calling regarding an enforcement action executed by the U. S. Treasury along with some garbled words.  When I called the number, a man with a heavy Indian accent, who said that Steve Martin was his legal assistant, that he was Jason Richard, either Employee or Employer No. 78343.  He said he was calling because in 2011 the accountant who filed our tax return had made a miscalculation and that we owed back taxes.  I questioned his position and the basis for his call.  I told him that I thought it was a scam, as I had seen no paperwork or received any inquiries regarding any such matter.  When I asked him where he was physically located, he refused to tell me and said that they would follow up with some paper work.  He also added that my husband was going to lose his job as a result of my not cooperating with him.  What a SCAM!  My husband is a mostly retired attorney from a prestigious law firm, who now offices with me.  Whose gone fire him?  himself or me.

Same as all the other posts but the number was 599-853-1507.  I hope no one falls for this.  It makes me sad to think someone might worry over this kind of call.
