- Me too!| 2 repliesSame message except his name was Daniel Baxter. Message stated "I was trying to reach you in regards to a very important issue. This is a verbal notification for you in regards to an enforcement action that has been started on your name."
- Illinois residentGot a call from "Jonathon" and he asked for my wife. Said he was from the Department of Legal Affairs, US Treasury. I asked what this was concerning and he said it was confidential and could only discuss with my wife. SCAM!
- Portland, OR Resident"Daniel Baxter" from the "Department of Legal Affairs" calling to discuss an "enforcement action" against me. If, for some reason I cannot call him back, I should have my "retainer attorney" call him to avoid a "legal mess". Tops it off with, "Until then, have a blessed day." Hilarious! Have a blessed day! If I hadn't realized it was a scam call before, certainly telling me to "have a blessed day" almost in the same breath as telling me of legal actions against me is quite a big clue and certainly tips his hand. By the way, I've received several calls like this over the past 2 months. Sometimes a woman, sometimes a man. Not totally sure of the accent as they all try VERY hard to conceal it. This is the call back number they leave.
- Caller: Department of Legal Affairs
- Waukesha WisconsinCall from Keith Martin, Dept of Legal Affairs in Los Angeles, CA - same message as above - terrible message and very hard to understand person - but he also said to have a "blessed day".
- Caller: Dept of Legal Affairs

- FREDERICK COI too got a call today from Johnathan saying he was Legal Affairs from the U.S. Treasury and stated legal action against me for my 2010 taxes where misfiled. I then asked why the US Treasury is doing the IRS job and he proceeded to tell me that they often do this for the IRS. All they want to do is confirm your information so they can sell it.
- Caller: U.S. TREASURY DEPT.
- J.A.I got a call from ”Daniel Baxter” stating that my taxes from 2010 were misfiled and that I was to be arrested in 2 hours with no bail. He also said that I was on the US wanted list and that all my assets were to be frozen and my sentence was 6 months. To add on, he told me that there would be no need for me to call my attorney. THIS IS A SCAM. If this number calls you, please report it to your district attorney or the police; they may actually end up badly affecting someone in the future.

- Kirsten replies to Me too!Same message from a Daniel Baxter from legal affairs with a judgement against me???
- Punkicoleman replies to ConcernedIt appears that I will be arrested at 8:00 a.m. for tax evasion. Somehow we missed the US Agent who came to our house 13 times to serve us with legal papers. I laughed out loud.
- RuthlessI got a message from "Daniel Baxter". I called back multiple times but they kept hanging up on me because they thought I was playing games. He called back later. I also will be arrested! Good luck folks, but this is not how the IRS does business. I called back later and it says they are unavailable, leave a message for "Brian King". These scammers are messing with the wrong guy.

Remember If the Government want to talk with you they will send real letter that states what time and place to meet with them at their offices in the District office in the area in which you live. Remember they never call you , it is always by snail mail with a set time and date.- Caller: Legal US treasary
