I received a text from "Jill" asking for a job - she was aware of my profession and said she got my contact details from "the internet". It was a weird series of text messages - I turned down the job (too big for my resources) but I got more messages asking if I could find another person to do the work with me, because she wanted ME to do the job. And she asked repeatedly if I accept credit cards. It was more persistent than I would expect from a stranger, and unusual to be contacted by text message! Just weird. Said no thanks and blocked the number.

Same... asking for available dates in March for a family reunion.  I received this last year about this same time too.  I thought it was odd then, but now, to have it happen a year later.

Yep...same thing.  People like this make me so angry.  I work hard for what I have and people like this trying to screw me out my hard earned money sends me over the moon.

On March 26th, I received this text:"Hello, I'm Jill, I'll (sic) like to know your free available date in April for my family reunion (5 hours photo coverage). Also I want family portraits done for all the families coming together for the reunion. Do you accept credit card payment? I got your contact information from the internet."
Because of the area code, I replied, "Hi, Jill, are you in California?"
At 3:50 *AM* this morning: "Yes"
At 3:51: "sorry, i mean No"
At 10:35 AM, "Will you be available?"
I replied that I'm unavailable in April but invited "her" to let me know where she's located so I can point her to another photographer.

Weird.
