Spam call about reducing my electric rates.  Yeah...right.  

Electric rate spammer.  Keeps calling even though I asked to be put on their do-not-call list.

Received a few calls from this number.  For some reason, no one seems to answer.  Either I answered the call too soon or not soon enough.  Good.  Didn't want to speak to them. I am on the do not call list too.  Wish they could be fined.

Just got a recorded message about my electric rate increasing 12% by next month.  Press one if you want to stop this from happening (yeah right).  Also, noted it's a 213 area code and I live in AZ.

got one too, to my cell phone. didn't pick it up.

Received a phone call from this number today.
I did not answer the phone, but they did leave a message on my answering machine.
Some kind of company (telemarketer) that supposedly can save you money on your electric bill. Sounds like a scam.
My caller ID reads this phone number as "12135149625."

Same as Me28. Blocked.

In the space on one hour they have called three times.  There is no one to complain to, it's just a stupid recording about reducing electricity bills.  They have been calling multiple times a day for the last couple of weeks.  So much for the "do not call list"

Yep, the same nonsense about responding immediately, otherwise the rate will go up.  They showed up as LOCAL on my caller ID.

Clearly a SCAM

Got a call from 2135149625 with CID "LOCAL" yesterday evening around dinnertime. I didn't answer. Caller left a VM requesting a callback at 2135197278. Appears to be an electricity rate scammer. Beware.

Same as other posts.  Got call twice within about 10 minutes of each other.

LA, CA, USA area Code. left message asking for a call back to discuss the Electricity increases (Recent SoCal company had to shut down their Nuke plant and will now charge customers 3+Billion to handle the mess they should have been saving profits to handle in the first place). The message gives 2135197278 as the callback number. Probable scam since there is no ID of who/what is calling.
TeleScammers use rented phone lines (look up Ring Central as one of the companies that rents out phone numbers in different areas) to call out on, or to have people call in to. These lines do not belong to the scammer, so finding out who the scammer is becomes very difficult. With ModTech the amount of calls per minute to an existing number list (created on an Excel spread sheet) is very large. But each number that is connected costs the scammer a portion of a penny for each portion of a minute (variable from each service company). If there is an answer, that is recorded on the number list, and that list becomes an active number list that will be sold to other scammers. Some Collection agencies (and most non-scammer marketing companies) sell their active number lists as well. The proceeds of those lists helps to pay the service bill. So a key deterrent would be to make it against the law to sell or trade personal information of any type, and make phone numbers a form of personal information. An added bite would be an amount of fine claimable by each person that has personal info on that trade/sale multiplied by the number of times their personal information shows up in the data.

They leave a super shady message about lowering your energy usage.
