- Warren from TorontoLower credit card interest scam...
I simply asked if they honor their do not call list and asked to be put on it.
They are clearly making money off this or else they wouldn't keep it up for so long.- Call type: Telemarketer

Thanks so much. Den- Call type: Telemarketer
- tubadanI got a call from these people about lowering my credit card interest, with something about the last notice we'll get. this was the second call today. this also sound a lot like the company who is claiming to extend my car warrantee. I registered on Canada's no call list two week ago. the guy, who was pretty impatient, bordering on rude, said that they don't have a no call list. then later said he'd try not to call me again. He said the company was MCS Program Services. I registered a complaint with the no call list.

- FORMER EMPLOYEEI USED TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. YOU NEED TO CALL 1-800-943-3250 AND ASK FOR PAUL, MANDY, OR JESSICA BUZZARD. THIS COMPANY USES OUTSIDE CALL CENTERS TO CONTACT YOU, FROM FLORIDA TO PAKISTAN. THEY DO NOT REGULATE WHAT THESE CALL CENTERS SAY TO PEOPLE, BECAUSE THE OWNER, PAUL, BELIEVES THAT THESE CALL CENTERS ARE WHAT BRINGS HIM BUSINESS, AND THAT THEY SHOULD DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES. ONCE YOU FALL FOR THE CALL CENTERS LIE, THEN YOU WILL SPEAK TO THE "WELCOME DEPARTMENT" WHO THEN TELLS YOU A LITTLE BIT OF THE TRUTH, BUT LEAVE OUT OR RE-WORD THINGS IN ORDER TO MAKE THE CLIENT HAPPY. AND THEN IF YOU TRY TO EVEN CANCEL, THEY MAKE IT ALMOST NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO DO. *NOTE* - FILE A CHARGEBACK WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY OR BANK BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING AND YOU CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK.
NO ONE THERE HAS MUCH EXPERIENCE IN THE FINANCIAL FIELD. SOME HAVE EVEN BEEN SEEN DRIVING OFF AT LUNCH TIME TO GO AND SMOKE MARIJUANA OR SOME FORM OF RECREATIONAL DRUGS. IF YOU LOOK AT THE WEBSITE, NOT A SINGLE PERSON LOOKS OR DRESSES LIKE THAT AT THE COMPANY. AND IF YOU ARE AN EMPLOYEE AT MUTUAL CONSOLIDATED SAVINGS, AND YOU STAND UP AND SAY THAT YOU FEEL SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT, MANAGEMENT WILL MAKE THINGS TOUGH FOR YOU THERE UNTIL YOU QUIT OR DO SOMETHING TO GET FIRED. AND THERE HAS BEEN CRIMINAL ACTIVITY AMONGST STAFF. NEXT TIME YOU CALL, ASK AN EMPLOYEE WHY DID A GIRL BY THE NAME OF WENDY GET STABBED BY ANOTHER EMPLOYEE.- Caller: MUTUAL CONSOLIDATED SAVINGS

- Anne Marie replies to Warren from TorontoThank you Eases my mind Hate these people. I hold them until gone
- Phil replies to Frustrated_phone_userGot this phone call from them a couple of times. I'm French so I pressed 1 to talk to them and they hung up when I said Bonjour. So I tried in English and they pretended they couldn't hear me. So I filed a complaint to the CRTC and got my phone number off the record. We'll see if it works. I'm tired of them.
- CletusThese people called me (and calling them people is a stretch... it would be more accurate to call them the lowest form of bottom feeding gutter scum). I picked up, heard a computer recording, wasn't interested, and hung up. I was actually trying to use my telephone for an important call when they called. I picked up and hung up, and picked up to dial the call I needed to make, and their computer was still on the line. This continued for several minutes. I would hang up, wait for 20 or 30 seconds, pick up again, and it would be their recorded message saying "press 1 to talk to an operator". I'd hang up, pick up again, and again it would say "press 1 to talk to an operator". This continued several more times, and I couldn't get it off the line. I pressed one to talk to an operator, and explained this all to him, and received no response. I hung up and picked up over and over again for another 10 minutes, and this time it was the operator going "hello, hello". I finally got a dial tone, and I immediately called the number back. Somebody picked up, and by now I was fuming mad, and I asked them (very angrily, although no shouting or obsceneties) why they thought they had to right to call my house and then stay on the line even after I hang up and even after I tell them to get off the line (which I said numerous times). He said all I had to do is ask nicely and he refused to get off the line until I asked nicely, even after I hung up and picked up again a dozen times, each time he just said he wouldn't get off the line until I asked nicely. I don't know who these people think they are, but they seem to think they have the right to harrass people in their homes and stay on the line until that person has an aneurysm

- SamI have also received calls from this number numerous times saying this is the last day to take advantage of their special. I have made a complaint also with the CRTC as I am already registered on their list. If you receive the same call, send an email to the CRTC to company also and maybe they will end up with a fine!

- Fed UpJanuary 20 8:00pm - This number left a machine message about lowering the interest rate. I called the number from my call display and some guy answered. I asked to be taken off the calling list. He asked my name. I said, you have my number, just take it off your list. He asked me if I was old enough to have a credit card. I told him to stop asking me questions and to take me off the list. Disgruntled, he says 'Yah, OK' and hangs up on me.
If I get another call from the number, I will do as suggested and make a complaint to the CRTC- Call type: Political call
- KeithThese guys are terrible; I would estimate at least 40 times that they have left messages on my phone. I am usually not home as I have a job (I wish more of these people had real jobs), but today I am with my son. So I answer, press one and go from there. The jerk on the other end - Ashton - hung up immediately when I said remove me from the list.
Best I can say at this point is do the do not call list and cross your fingers. Clearly they aren't up for proper business practice, so who knows what may or may not happen? I'm not sure personally what else you can do, but if it does continue past Feb 12th (when my do not call registration takes effect), then I'll personally be doing more digging in to the company and see what we can actually make happen ( which will probably be very little in reality ). VoIP here I come!?- Call type: Telemarketer
- Brian NGot another call from this number... I AM on the do not call list, yet, I am still getting calls...
Is there not a law to stop these recorded messages? If they want to call and bug me, they should have to be human so that I can tell them right then and there to take me off the list... and none of this "it takes up to 30 days to get you off the list" bunch of crap...- Caller: Card holder services

- billGot a robocall last week about credit card. Just got one with the same message a few minutes ago, but get this! It froze my caller id on 3 different phones. No out of area or blocked call message. I don't know if this was just a one time system glitch or forgive my paranoia, something more sinister.
