- TheDude299called 6/16/2008 at 4:31 PM EST. Did not answer. Has called several times over the past few weeks.
- IMMomHang-up calls, rings twice then stops, several times daily. Tried picking up on first ring, no response; assume a computer calling....very annoying
- portland-taThis is NOT a collection agency. They call to sign you up for free business/trade magazine subscriptions if you'll answer survey questions.
- Call type: Survey
- annoyed in NY| 2 repliesNo way to make it stop, as far as I can tell. Calls a few times a week, sometimes twice a day. As soon as I pick it up, there is nobody there. Even if it's a 'legitimate' business, they should not be calling like this.
These calls- and the many calls like them- are f*king annoying. I'm on the gvt Do Not Call list which is pointless because it's ignored by all the people who ignore the law. I am a strong supported of gun control- but HERE there is an analogy which is true: The law only stops people who pay attention to the law.
What the government needs to do is legislate to stop this telemarketing/spam crap from happening and enforce the law. They will not because of the companies that lobby for this access to your real mailbox, email mailbox, and your phone number.
Want to save the environment? How about tell companies to stop mailing me so many catalogs and unsolicited postal mail. Is that going to ever happen? No.
So, sit back, relax, listen to the phone ring from calls you don't want, read the junk mail you don't want, delete the emails you don't want, and dodge the bullets from the guns now legal in your neighborhood.
Your tax dollars at work. - RoninReceiving ongoing calls from 213-537-1439. Each and every time I answer, they hang up. Have since decided NOT to answer them any longer and have saved the number into my cell phone under "TELEMARKETER - Do NOT Answer". Have done the same with past numbers as well, as it has saved me a lot of time from wondering who the heck is calling me at 3 AM. These calls are coming at all hours of the day and night, so I'm guessing it's an automated system. As my cell number is listed on the Do-Not-Call list, I WILL be reporting these ongoing disturbance calls immediately.

- VI called that number and somehow got connected with a lady. As I started talking she hung up. I now am calling them a few times a day and leave messages......I just don't understand who these people are. What is the point for their calls if they hung up and/or never leave messages?
- Caller: T Cast Communication

- hypermechanicI get calls every hour on the hour. When I call the number I get a rude voice mail. I have inform the voice mail that I do not want the call and to take me off the list. I have threat them with a lawsuit at this point.
I have recieved up to 30 calls a day. I have blocked it on my cellphone so I don't hear them but I still want them to stop. I think a class action lawsuit is in order. - kleebShows as a missed call, probably because I have calls transferred to cell and callers often hang up just as the transfer is going through. When I ring the number back, I get a message that says "Kiss my *@#$@#* ass," something like that, very rude. The call is made several times a day. I keep calling back, trying to catch someone on the other end to tell them that they probably have a wrong number, but I always get the message.
- rlwDidn't answer the call because I didn't recognize the number and that's my policy these days because I get so many unsolicited calls and calls from telemarketers. However, I tried calling the number back after going to your site and see all the above comments. I got the same message that kleeb received. It was rude and profane. I can't imagine this is a serious business. It seems someone is playing a juvenile joke and wasting people's time. Someone please do something to stop this.
- elmothe bpolicy here if i dont know the number i dont answerso hell keepcalling

A very aggressive woman calls several times a week offering a free magazine subscription. When I say "not interested" she wants to know who else she can talk to (the president of the company). I offer to take a message and she says she'll call back. I tell her that the president won't return her call, but she keeps calling to ask for him.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Peeko replies to Steve| 3 repliesActually that is their standard "goodbye" line.
Just today they called again, asking for someone that doesn't even work here. She tried to get his number from me. She tried to get me to renew the magazines for him. When I refused to do anything but take a message, she said "Ok, I'll call back." and hung up on me. This seems to be their script, and since she didn't speak english very well, I doubt she even knows what she was saying to me.
Whatever you do, DO NOT SAY THE WORD "YES" to these jerks. They'll record it and use it as proof that you asked for their crap. - Kranky Kanuck| 3 repliesI had a call from them today -- they were calling to renew a free subscription I have with a magazine I do in fact subscribe to. They asked nothing unusual or unexpected, nor tried to sell me anything.
After I had answered their questions, I asked who they in fact were, knowing that the magazine was clearly a client.
The person I spoke with had no reservations in revealing their company was called Spark Marketing & Research - and that she was calling from the Philippines. http://www.sparkcallcenter.com/
<em>"Spark is a highly specialized contact center that services the specific needs of the publishing industry. We focus on gathering the most pertinent and accurate information and data that clients require with an emphasis on quality and efficiency."</em>
I queried the 213 (LA, CA) area code and she knew nothing about that. This would be the magic of call centers and VOIP phones kids. :-)
In this instance, they were working on behalf on an organization I have an existing relationship with. Perhaps not all calls from them will be as reasonable.- Caller: Spark Marketing & Research Services

- Peeko replies to Peeko| 2 repliesI've been putting them on hold til they hang up for the past week, now they are calling on a blocked number.
