    Caller Said my first name in the form of a question as if to make sure it was me then hung up.

    Caller told me that she needed the correct copier model number. I asked her if it was XXXXXX Copier (our company copier services) and she said "excuse me" and then hung up.

    Caller keeps calling and ask our name and our how our copier is working, telling us that we are due for copier supplies. When asked what company they are calling from I was hung up on.

    last week, 11/9, a man said he was from xerox and that our toner prices had gone up and they are holding 3 at the old price for us; I would get a fax confirmation and a phone call to confirm...when I asked for his direct line and if I would get a letter stating what he told me he said I did not need his number as someone would call me right back to confirm if I got the fax stating what he told me...
    I also received a very strange voice mail from this number today, 11/12 where someon was singing in the background (very badly and very strange). I called the number back and there is no dial tone or anything. I looked the number up online and found this info.
    This may the same number from a couple of weeks ago, 11/6 that also said it was xerox and asked for our pinter model numbers so they could send us new manuals. I sent the call to our IT guy...

    Overall, since 11/6 - my call history says I have received 6 calls from this number and now I am flagging it after reading the info on this site.

    Call to my office from 213-537-1967. Attempting to get information about our photocopiers to "send you a manual". He allegedly had a list of our machines and wanted me to verify the model number and serial number. Knowing I was being had, I asked him "Sure. For which machine?" He said "Any one of them." I said we had several and needed to know WHICH machine he needed confirmation for. (Laughing to myself all the time while wasting his time.)  Finally he gave up and tried to hang up on me. He kept hanging up and attempting to dial the next sucker in line - not realizing that I could still hear the chatter of the other scam artists in the background. I kept saying "Hello? HELLOOOOOO??" Then I just put the phone down and waited for a disconnect... 8 minutes later the connection finally broke. Ha ha... I wasted his time and his company's money...

    I received three calls in the last few days, all from this same phone # (213-537-1967). The first time he called, the man said his name was Steve, and he knew that we owned Bizhub products. I transferred him to my manager twice, and on the third call I asked to take a message. He said "sure" and hung up.

    Guy called asking if we "Liked our Canon ImageRunner". I asked "what Canon are you talking about" and he replied "Your Canon 5000". I then asked what company he was with and he hung up. We researched the phone number and came up with this site. When call 213-537-1967 get absolutely nothing - no tones, beeps, etc...

    Got a call from some chick asking for our copier model number. Said "Sure - I'd love to help", and put her on hold. Picked up again - did you need the firmware revision? hold. Do I need to unplug the machine to get this information for you? hold. Got another guy to pick up, said I transfered call, and that he would be glad to help - what did they need? The one the other guy was workign on? Sure. hold. well, we have 21 machines - which one did you need? hold. Oh, the one the first guy was working on? hold. He has three, which one? hold. Hey we just called your number back because we thought we got disconnected, and no one answered the main line - I wonder why not (she got all distracted and started mubling on about how she didn't know, had no idea). I said, ok, please hold. 3 secs later the line was dead. Gosh, I sure hope they call back. [***].

    Mine was from 213-537-1905.
    We receive these every 4-6 months.  Got one today.  Played along.  "Supervisor" Rick came on line.  Knowing it is a scam (their cartidges sell for $380.00, retail is actually $35.00) I asked him "Isn't this scam getting old"?  He said no.  "This can't be still working"?  He laughed and said "Oh ya, it is".  Before he hung up, I said "F*** You".  Beware!!!

    I received the a call saying the price of the toner went up and they were going to ship it out.  I checked with my boss today and he said it was a scam so when they called me back today I said we were all set and they hung up on me.  The number was 213-537-1910. They said the toner was like $598...

    He called asking about our copier. Which is curious because we don't have one. I thought it was suspicious and googled the number. 213-537-1905.

    Same deal here - I HOPE he calls me now that I know what a jerk he is. Calling to tell us "bad news about fees" and our copier. What fees??? We own our copier outright and don't pay fees to anyone! Idiot. Will let him know we'll be calling his parol officer next time he calls.
