He claims he is pastor Cole wanting to rent his home for a "too good to be true" price. . However he says he is out of state with a followers Christian crusade and asks for you to send the money via Western Union and then he will send the documents through next day fedex... When I asked if I could get the paperwork first he just completely ignored me and never responded back to me so I believe it was another one of Craigslist scams. . Please do not fall for this or send any money without some kind of documents for security.

That's exactly what it is, a scam.  Glad you didn't fall for it.

Got the same message as Ashley did (above). Will not respond back. I am in Pennsylvania and I assume the good pastor has properties to rent near you as well. Hahaha, Craigslist and scammers!

This number is a spammer, and the most funny part is I ask my wife to reply to this guy...damn...
But glad thing is I check out the house and this see this website, the house is totally owned by other people,
and never know he got chosen by this spammer...

This spammer will respond to your text immediately, and will say something very ridiculous, such as moving
in immediately and pay only 1/2 of price for his whole house....such a crazy thing.

Rental/vacation home scams are up this year. The sure way to spot a rental scam is the method of payment. If the person asks you to pay by wire transfer service (Western Union, MoneyGram, GreenDot, MoneyPak, etc.) It's a scam. Every time. These are cash wire services. You are sending CASH. They are NEVER to be used for an online purchase, or a business transaction. They are for family and friends only. Real ones, not the internet ones.

That scammer is so weird, they just text me back this morning, saying: Congratulation, you becomes our new tenant...

wow, ive been in contact with this guy for a few days now, very skeptical the whole time.  i called his number and the google number that it forwards to is owned  by a guy named "JIM!!!!!"  haha.  i told him i was nervous about the whole thing especially since i cant talk to you, sounds like a scam to me.....he says "i am a man of god"  whew, what a scumbag, so now i just googled his name and number and i come across this page......too bad, i was skeptical but hopeful.....

oh yeah, i forgot to mention, the guy actually called me and had a stereotypical "italian pope" accent.  it was hillarious
