It is First National Collection Bureau, one of the notorious bottom-feeder collection agencies.  They routinely violate the FCRA and FDCPA, as well as analogue state statutes.

Had this number on my call log.  If all these comments are true and this is for Direct TV, I have never had this and never was interested in it. And no message was left either!

Yes this is a collection agency and not a good one. They pay their reps salary and force them to call numbers all day. They call direct TV customers until the list runs out and then they just make prank calls. they do not talk because they get paid for just dialing....  great management!!!  You would thing there are better ways of making a living than making prank calls all days.

Really? With Debt Validation as required by the FDCPA laws?
How about posting this business's legitimate name, legal verifiable street address web site and BBB page hm?

Oh goody, if that is all it takes to get $600 out of you, please post your phone number since I could use a little extra Christmas cash.
Yes I am responding to you, another illiterate "Pay UR Bills" numbskull.  It is doubtful you even had a dollar to give to anyone since the paycheck your boss is giving you will bounce higher than the Mars rover did when it landed.

I think shilly is the one who's desperate for Christmas cash because 800notes is educating people and cutting into his scam. He longs for the days before sites like this started educating people and it was as simple as calling and making a demand. Now I'm sure the majority of them tell him to shove his phony debt threats up his ample posterior, along with the coal that Santa brings him for being a criminal who doesn't follow FDCPA laws.

Yes and isn't jebadiah a religious name.  Why do they keep referring to religion and God and have a blessed day when they are all going to end up south of the border?

I don't know this caller but they have tried to call me twice this morning. Seems like a telemarketer or something. They won't leave a message.

They called me too. I don't answer unknown numbers ever. They do not leave message so I know they're not legit. I think they called the yoga studio I teach at and told the receptionist I have a court date, too, which is actually illegal. They can't give personal info about you to any employer or unconnected party. I don't even have any debts, certainly never had directv.

Get calls all day. They never leave a message just a one minute blank voicemail. Saw this online.

I had a Whatsapp message from them yesterday which contained a blurred out download. I didn't recognise the number so didn't download it. I'm in/from England, only ever been to USA once (5 years ago) never heard of Direct TV so I'm amazed why they have my number.

I want to report a call from 213-631-2748.   I think it is the same people who use the number above.  They call frequently.  I normally do not answer but decided I would today and see if I could talk them into leaving me alone.  I said hell-o..........they said nothing.  I said hell-o again...........a short pause and they hung up.  Why do they call, get someone who answers..........and then hang up.  Apparently they just like annoying people.

I'll take everyone's word for it that this is DirectTV collections although I have NEVER had a DIRECT account. When I tried to call the number back, I got a disconnected number message, so maybe a Robo dialer with a spoofed number?
Who knows, all I know is that I get hundreds of unwanted calls each week from people trying to sell me solar power (never owned a home) trying to collect/consolidate student loans (worked my thru college...no loans, grants or scholarships here) trying to collect payday loans (never had one of those either). All this & I am registered with the National Do Not Call Registry (useless) how does this happen?? I'll tell you how: my online account with my cell provider (Verizon Wireless ) just got hacked for the second time in less than 8 months...they got my name, SSN#, email & passwords both times, so now I have to be blocked from my own account. My bank account has been fraudulently accessed 3 times in the last year. Thank God for $0 fraud protection.  On top of all this, my old health insurance company (Blue Cross/Blue Shield,  which I have not had since 4/17/2011) got hacked it January this year. Protect your information,  people! I don't have great credit to begin with. I never thought anyone would want my identity. I thought wrong. This girl has had it. I have to keep the bank acct to get paid, but the debit card & credit cards are gone.  I will pay cash where I can and get a prepaid credit card with a small limit for online purchases & I'm done. I am sick to death of all this WONDERFUL technology.
