Dang crooks called twice today, one minute apart -- clearly trying to get around my blocking service.  The first one was blocked, but the second one got through.  If someone has a blocking device or service, what's the point of trying to get around it -- they are the type of person that does not want telemarketer calls.  Do they really think they will sell me whatever they are selling, or will scam me?  NOPE!

Another bozo call for the bin.

called from 5 different numbers 310 310-7788, 661 989-5566, 951 666-6601, 714 652-8456 and 626 666-6601.  Left a threatening and profane message from the last one saying I'd get a call every Saturday for Solar.

Yeah, I've wondered the same thing.  Why try so hard to beat someone's blocker?  If you have a blocker, you are telegraphing to them that you are not interested in robocallers, telemarketing, etc.   Either they're stupid (possible), or a just jerks that want to annoy people (most likely).

The callers number was shown on my phone. Calling back gives you a recording"This number has changed or This number is no longer in service". The call went to the answering machine. At that point the caller ended the call. This number will be blocked.

I picked up the phone but I didn't answer. This guys calls me by my first name - and I still didn't answer. Then he hung up. Caller ID said Los Angeles - and I knew he was a scammer.

Called my home phone and asked for our family by mispronouncing our sir name. Hung up.  Then the daft inbred calls back with a different area code (same body number) and left a vulgar message.
