I received a call from this number, a James Watson, with a thick Indian accent told me that there was a lawsuit against me and to have my attorney contact him.  When I asked him what the lawsuit was about, he would not give me an answer. The voice sounded familiar, but the company "Financial F...A-something (I could hardly understand him with the background noise on his end and his accent)is not familiar.  I received calls just like this in the past and told the person on the other end that my attorneys were handling my debts and had sent my creditors POAs.  The calls kept coming despite that, and now I am receiving them again. They aren't getiing any financial/personal info from me and I will call my law firm.  BTW, how would they even know I had an attorney?

6/17/09 received 30! and i actually mean 30 calls at work today!!!! threatening me, friends, family and my job. stating the are "financial accountability associates" and when i asked who i allegedly owed money to "federal legislation"!!!!!  hahaha  heavy indian accents, broken english, reading from a script and numerous names given such as george miller, shane, randy miller!

I actually tried reporting them to the BBB using this address but it would not accept the complaint because of the address not being valid. I received an email telling me this so I responded to their emailing explaining that this was the problem, they are NOT valid. Have not heard back from ANYONE on anything including any attorney general. I just keep reporting these folks and no one in authority seems to care, frustrating. I talked to this James Watson, supposedly he worked for the 'parent' company who turned me over to Financial Accountability Assoc, of course I had no debt. Shane Lee even called me asking for someone else, they have so many on the list they're crossing them up now. When is someone going to take this seriously? Suppose they got someone so upset they had a heart attack and possibly died (maybe they have and we don't know it), maybe they're just greedy scum or maybe they're funding some terrorist organization. Our government needs to pay attention!

I just recieved a message from James Watson just a few minutes ago. He was calling for someone else but he was threatening saying it would be best to call back and if I didn't, he wished me luck. I can't believe he can get phone numbers and info one way or another. I fear that he will get my info somehow. I don't know what to do then. I do believe that the government should be doing something because there are enough complaints and enough people know about the problem. Somthing has to be done, but what can we do if we don't even know who this person is?

I have received several phone calls from a Financial Accountabilty Association. They said I owed a payday loan of $500 but with interest and cost it would total to $1253.96. They also said I will go to jail today at 5pm or tomorrow by 11am if I don't come up with the money. I asked to settle out of court, but he said if I didn't have the all of money today then I wouldn't be able to settle out of court & they will submit my paper work to the courts & my employer so I would get fired because I couldn't work from jail. Everyone I spoke to had a very heavy Indian accent & are very ignorant. They also call my job 5 - 10 times a day.

Also you cannot be arrested for an unpaid debt. You can be sued, but not imprisoned. Further, lawyers usually put everything in writing. I read that report awhile back when I got a call like that.

My nephew received a phone call from the Federal Legislation of Unsecured Loans Association.  The phone number was 415-200-02544.  A Mr. Leonardo Ortiz told my nephew that he had not repaid a payday loan from back in June of 2008 and that he had to pay the loan in full within the next thirty minutes or he would be forced to file papers on Monday, June 22, 2009.  My nephew would be charged with three federal counts and that he could get up five years in prison.  Mr. Ortiz told my nephew also that he needed to fax an apology letter to the creditor apologizing for not paying back the loan, which my nephew did.  My nephew is in his early twenties and was really scared, so he called me.  I immediately called the number and talked to a guy that had a Middle Eastern accent.  I told him that I wanted to know why he was making threatening calls to my nephew and that I wanted to know what this was all about.  The man got angry and hung up on me.  I work for the US Department of Justice and I will be reporting to the Texas Attorney General's office and the US Attorney General's Office.  The US Attorney General is my boss...  Do not fall for this scam.  Notify your state's Attorney General's offices and your Better Business Bureaus.  Please Do Not Send these people any money.

This caller called me from this number and identified himself as Bryan Moss.   He had a heavy foreign accent and I could hear other foreign accents in the background making similar calls.  He said he was an attorney and repeated the last 4 numbers of my social security number.  I couldn't understand most of what he said but he told me he needed further financial information and at the end to have my attorney contact him and said he wouldn't be responsible for the results.  I told him to have someone who could speak english to call me back and hung up on him. I don't know any cuss words in foreign languages but was going to give them some in English if they called back.

i got same call but from 951-968-0466 he also had very heavy accent with name of mike wilson all they same threats. thanx for posting!

These people are terrorists from another country trying to launder money for another terrorist attack!  They threatened me and I didn't back down and they stopped calling!  Their bullies and all you got to do is scare them back cause they don't want to deal with tough [***] Americans! Screw them!

Well I am sure glad I am reading all of your comments about this scam... I was so upset this past Wednesday.  I keep getting a call from Mr. Steve Parker, Mr. Matthew Parker,and Micheal Harrison, all of these people have accents.. and strong arm tactics. When you try to call the back the number is either disconnected or busy.  You never have an opportunity to call back to talk to someone.  I did get through, and after the strong arm of trying to make me give info.. (which they already had) I keep asking what firm they represented and they keep asking me question and saying I will tell you, answer the question.  I got out of one of them that it was Financial Accountability Association for Federal Legislation for Unsecured Loans.  I tried to find it on Google with the FAA name and then I added Fed. Legislation for Unsecured Loans. Bingo I came to this site and found out about this scam. Now I know they got my info from those Pay Day Websites with all those pop ups.  Well... I ain't going there anymore.  These guys must be terrorist trying to raise monies, cause they sure do terrorizes a person for funds. They have called my work and now I have been told by legal council to let the FBI know about this stuff. Good thing one of my friends sons work for the FBI. I'm telling her today to call her son. Thanks you guys for posting your comments.. I was going crazy trying to fix this stuff.

one more thing.. numbers they call from are 818-338-5053 or 951-565-4491 any of these are busy or disconnected.  This is just in case you get a call from these jerks. The fake Office of Financial Accountability Assoc. of Federal Unsecured Loans or now it's some law office they represent.  What a scam!

I AGREE, I WAS THREATENED SO BAD TODAY WELL MY BOYFRIEND WAS, I MADE HIM TALK TO THEM, BUT THE GUY NAMED "STEVEN" TOLD HIM THERE IS A BULLET WITH MY NAME ON IT WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS AND ASKED HIM IF HE REMEMBERED 911. THAT IS WAY TOO SCARY, I THINK THEY MIGHT BE TERRORISTS, AND TRYING TO GET MONEY FOR SOMETHING TO COME... THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT IN A SERIOUS MATTER BECAUSE THIS COULD LEAD TO SOMETHING REALLY SERIOUS!
