Received message on answering machine on 7/31/15 around 2:45pm from a robot claiming to be Judy Smith from the IRS. Basically saying that a legal petition for a tax filed against me and that if I don't call back I could be arrested.  Saw people complaining about a similar number but I guess the scammers have several. The phone number that was left on answering machine was 213 814 2323, not sure if that was the one they called on.

Robot voice saying something about a irs tax levy and I was going to be arrested.213-814-2323

Spoke with and IRS agent that had a very heavy Indian accent stating that there is an arrest warrant on my name  because of a mistake on my tax returns. SCAM

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Ditto. And for your comfort needs, IGNORE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WORRYING ABOUT IT! The IRS won't do such thing.

Also, a second call on my cell this time, a warrant will be filed on Saturday, at 10 am. REALLY?? I didn't know a government sector works on Saturday ?!! And sometime ago, on a legal holiday, this sad people also calls too?! They had to be smarter than that to lured hard-working honest people.

Despite of this, I'll be praying hard for them that the Lord forgive for what they're doing is evil, to enlighten their Heart & Soul.

I got the same recording from Judy Smith from the IRS. This is not the way that the IRS operates. Do not call back on this number.

Indian man told me I filed a fake tax return and I will be arrested within 30 min. He advise me to get an attorney.

Same here  saying legal action was made againstme  How dumb do they think we are....  DELETED....

Just received the exact same call from Judy Smith from the IRS.

my land line rang once and went to voice mail.  msg:  I had to call back immediately; received a tax fraud report against me and before I get arrested to call asap.

Same message left for me today from the "US Treasury". I had to call them back just to hear the scam. A human answered on the first ring which was my first clue this is a scam. No robot voice guided menus just someone telling me the local sheriff's office will be paying me a visit and will arrest me today due to 2yrs outstanding taxes. They told me I owe around $4900. Not a clear answer on why I wasn't sent a letter just that they could help. I was given a case # and they ended the call. Guess they are expecting me to call back. Their number is  213-814-2323.

I received this call also. Left a VM. Definetly not calling it back!

Just received this message on my voice mail:
"This call is official Final Notice from IRS. The nature and purpose of this call is to inform you that we have received a legal petition notice concerning a tax fraud against you. Still before the matter goes to Federal Claims Court House or before you get arrested please call immediately on our hot line Division number that is 213-814-2323. Make sure you call us as soon as possible."
Yeah, I'll get right on that because I'm sure that's the poor grammar someone from the IRS would use.

IRS scam with threats and then curses when confronted with legitimacy.

I live in the Vandalia, OH and got the same call yesterday.  Didn't call them back.

I also received a call from Officer Judy Smith  saying she had a Legal petition notice against me and to contact them before this goes to Federal Claims Court or before I get arrested. I called the number and the person who answered the phone had a very  heavy accent and just answered the phone saying nothing until I told him I received a call from the IRS. He told me I wasn't calling the IRS  I had reached the Treasury Dept. I said what kind of Scam is this? He proceeded to tell me I insulted him and he wouldn't talk to me.

Just got the same message. I called and claimed I owed over 4000.00 from 2012-2013 tax error.this needs to STOP. Told them I would call the IRS myself and if I found out this was a scam, I would call the AG.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!!! Well,,, I rec'd a voice mail from this number and had already heard about the US Treasury SCAM!! But I called them back anyway. I informed them the call was being recorded and they hung up on me!!! The nerve!! So I called them back again and again informed them the call was being recorded. Guess what?? They hung up on me again. So, I called them again, I guess they blocked my number the call won't even go through now. Well, thats one way to get off their list.
