Left message, said they were from the treasury department and I would be held on tax evasion if I did not contact them immediately. This is an LA number. I work for government. No treasury in LA!

Treasury would not handle tax evasion cases - at least at investigation level.  And not on matters of personal income tax.  Or most types of business tax matter.  That is a big red flag right there!  Some scammer wants to scare you.

You would have heard from the IRS.  Often. In Detail.  The IRS does not come an arrest you or order your arrest.

If Treasury wants you, they will wait politely in line. Unless every part of Bill of Rights has be suspended in the last couple of hours, no Star Chamber has been convicting you behind your back.

Got the same call from the same number and same message. it was a computer talking, but 'seemed' legit. I immediately thought SCAM as well. I'll wait for them to come get me.... not calling back. I would at least have expected them to leave MY name and/or a case number. Nothing other than the scary message.

We received a call from Officer Brenda Watkins, two times now, stating she is with the US Treasury Dept. They will begin prosecution unless they here from our retained attorney. This is the number she used 484-464-4250, from Leighton,Pa. This call came from a house, a land line!

I also got a call from Brenda Watkins today.  Said she was from the Treasury department and they had an arrest warrant against my name.  The number was a 202 (DC) number.  Like others said, she provided no personal information about ME, since this was obviously an automated thing just trying to fish around and see who would bite.

I got a similar call like a month ago, automated and now, this from Brenda Watkins from DC 202-622-4203. That I have not pay my taxes but I had. It does not identify myself.

Brenda Watkins from the crime lab for the US Treasury called and left an automated message saying they had an arrest warrant for my name and i needed to call back before they activated it.  They did not state my name, just that i needed to call 1-401-495-0987 to clear it up.  I have never broken the law, come from a family of law enforcement and do not we an debts. An obvious scam.

Just received a call from a Brenda Watkins US Treasury left same message but the number she left was 507-262-3732 and case number.  Don't plan returning call!

Received same call from same exact number two days in a row!  Do not return calls!  Reported to FTC!

Got the same call today from officer Brenda Watkins. Called on a number that is a google voice so it went to vm.  Number was (803)674-0637.  Even left a case number 😂

I got the same phone call & I was confused cause I'm 18 I don't file taxes (cause I DONT WORK) it was a 917 number from NYC. I called it back and this time a man answered it and I told him that I'm 18 and I don't work and he hung up. But the guy that answered it sounded Caucasian not a thick Indian accent many claim

Was an automated call stating that it was officer Brenda Watkins and that they have an arrest warrant I need to call or that my attorney needs to call they gave a case number didn't state my name or anything but when I called back it was actually a person's personal number +12024555956 it's a Washington DC number

Got the same call here in Atlanta. Brenda called from (347) 921-2692. Same as above. Need to have my lawyer call because I'm facing jail time! And to call 704-705-9066 back. I'll pass Brenda, but thanks.

Got a VM today from an officer Brenda Watkins from US Treasury stating an arrest warrant would be issued if she did not get a call back from me or my attorney.  Of course my name or any info on me not provided except a case number.  The number to call back is 202-730-9747, which is a DC number.  Looked the number up and listed under IRS scam.  I live in Akron, OH. Do not call these numbers back.  They just want to steal your money!!!!

I received the same threat. Area code 914-994-1219, Brenda Watkins.   How do I report this to FTC?
