Didn't answer call. Received robotic voice mail saying something about tax fraud and to call this number before I'm arrested. Seems legit.

Got the same call today as well.

I just got the same call but if we all got it, its unlikely to be legitimate

Got this call today, it's totally b/s. a robot who says shes an officer and i have a legal petition against me for tax fraud.

same call, last I checked the irs doesn't call you In warning, snail mail or the subpoena arrives at your door

A lady saying for me to call back immediately , saying last call before I will be arrested.  For a moment I thought I was back in Cuba and almost got in a boat to scape again.    This is a professional BS

We've been getting this call for a month, now. Just got another!

SCAM!!! They called and said the police are on their way to the house and that the IRS issued a warrant for my arrest for tax fraud and I needed to get money out of the bank right away and once I did they would tell me what to do next. Said he was a middle man for the police and IRS. Gave a website www.estps.gov. He had my address. He also said not to hang up the phone because if I did he would no longer be able to help. Spoke with police department and they said it was a fraud and it is easy to get someone's address.

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.   Block and ignore.   DO NOT RETURN THE CALL!

IRS does not initiate contacts by phone.  US mail only.   IRS does not file lawsuits.   Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS does not threaten to involve local law enforcement or to arrest you for nonpayment of federal taxes.  IRS has no powers of arrest.    If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and demand immediate payment of  money.  IRS does not ask for financial information over the phone.   IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.    All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

It is a scam, as the IRS agent stated in his message.  If you listen to the msg it has the same lack of knowledge of the english language as when they used to have a real person call.
