Left no message on answering machine. Called number later that night using my cell phone and got a recorded message saying I had reached the Fund Raising Center.

It just be a junk call.

Two calls so far from 213-814-4341,  one in the afternoon and one at 8:30 a.m. several days apart with no message.  We are on the do not call list.

Got call from this number at 8:35 a.m. , Friday, May 11,2012.  Rang 4 times then no one there.  I am on do not call list.  Traced it to report as annoyance call if it is repeated twice more
Does everyone know that if you get threatening calls or repeated annoyance calls, you can have them traced (for a $1 fee) by the phone company, report it to the police for a case number, then call the telephone company and they will take action.  To have a call traced, simply hang up and immediately punch *57....a voice will say you have activated call trace...etc....Just be sure you do a little research first to determine, if possible, who it is, if possible, so that you do not waste police time with simple telemarketers who are not purposefully annoying you.  I"m afraid that fund raisers for charitable organiz are allowed to annoy us with calls we do not want.

Calls are from a landline, under the management of Level 3 Communications, LLC, Los Angeles, CA.  Again, this is one of many telemarketers, working under a variety of area codes (213, 310, etc), in that region.

They'll haunt you by phone, in the hopes you call them back. When you contact them, they'll give you the pitch for some NON-TAX DEDUCTIBLE "charitable" organization. Your calling them also allows them to runaround the DO NOT CALL LAWS enacted by the federal government and many states.

Ignore them or report them thru one of these complaint centers.  They're a pita, but usually not a police matter.  But, DO NOT agree to patronize and donate money to any of the groups they're soliciting for.  You open the door to even more harrassment.

Called at 8:47 a.m. Caller ID said LOCAL CALL. Since I'm in Alexandria, VA, and 213 is Los Angeles, uh, no.

Heres a thought that might work keep a whistle by the phone and when they call answeer it using the whistle

Called on 2/17/13.  Male caller said he was calling on behalf of American Veterans.  I asked if he was a volunteer or a paid fundraiser.  His response was "You're breaking up" and then he hung up.

Caller ID says LOCAL AREA CALL. I know that's BS because I live in MA. Left no message. I don't answer who I don't recognize.
