Received an automated call from this number stating that they were pursuing me for fraud (of some form) and wanted me to return their call immediately (to the above number). They claim to be the United States Federate (not any department of the US) .

This is fraud. They claim IRS has filed law suit over income taxes and want to help. Clue - IRS never telephone people, certainly not from Los Angeles.

They just. Called me too what happens the said tax fraud

I spoke with a police that is aware this is fraud there trying to get our info

Got a call about an hour ago. They claim they with the department of the treasury and claim that I had some tax issue.

I tried to pretend to pay them and they wouldn't take payment they wanted to pick me up I don't know maybe kidnappers I pretended like I would pay 1700dollars

I just got a call from this number.  A foreign-sounding man claimed that he was from the Treasury department, and that I owed back taxes for 2010 and 2011.  He said that the IRS had tried to contact me, and that I hadn't responded, so they had turned over my file to them.  He did give me a correct old address of mine, but was suddenly silent when I asked him to verify my Social Security number.

I have received numerous calls from this phone number over the last 2 months.  All claim to be from the Department of the Treasury,  stating that there is a lawsuit against me about tax issues.  It is always a pre-recorded message informing me to call a number and telling me that the issue is urgent. I have never returned these phone calls.

I received an automated call saying I was being sued for taxes and it was urgent I return the call immediately.  I knew I wasn't being sued and I ignored the call.  However, I wanted to call them and play along with their shenanigans, but I didn't have the time.  I work for the government so I knew it was a scam!
