someone is calling from this number leaving a blank message. They called again and I picked it up - total silence on other side!

I received a call from that number and a woman left a message regarding an affidavit. It was the wrong number. It seems to be some sort of law or investigative firm. I tried calling back and didn't get an answer

I received a call from this number also....My father, who is a lawyer and has been one for 40 years, called them back and demanded to speak to their attorney about my so called case.  They told him that he was a very dusy man and that he would have to call my father back...like his time is not as valuable as their attorney.  He still has not heard from this man...Does anyone know who this LSS represents....I am going to file a complaint with the VA Bar Assoiation. This number (804) 767-4880 has called my relatives stating that if I do not call back within a specified time period a restraining order would be issued against me.  They said to have my attorney call them back.  I called back and got the same prompts in a recorded message that are posted in the other postings.

If anybody knows how to get them to stop calling my relatives and making this threat or where to file a complaint please post a response.  Thank you.

Yeah sounds like they may be a new scam/phishing company?  These posts started May of this year and it's 08/25/10 and I just got one of these calls.  Same thing, said a restraining order has been filed against me so my attorney needs to call them back within 24 hours or a subpoena will be issued.  

The reverse phone lookups yield no business name.  I tried calling them several times and got classical music, then please leave your message at the tone, but then there was no tone so no message could be left.  

The only company found on the web called Litigation Support Services is in Ohio and they do things like court-room videography, etc; not debt collecting.  This company harassing us is in Virginia, which happens to be right next door to Maryland, where a company called Litigation Consulting Services, who apparently have done the same thing to people, was reported to various authorities.  Maybe they've moved on to a new state?

I was finally able to get to their voicemail and left a message pretending I was an attorney for myself and told them a bunch of legal garbage and that they'd better cease and desist from calling my client while I investigate their company.  Never got a call again.
