Received the following message as a text from 213/985-4127.

FINAL NOTICE MILLER, KAYLA C your current bank account is scheduled to be debted for $1368.75 DEFAULTED LOAN To Stop debit call 213-596-0298 Remove? Rply 19

Got the same general text this morning.  Said to call that number to stop a defaulted payday loan from being debited from my bank account.  This is a new tactic by these scammers...never received a text before.  Interesting.

I recieved a similar one bout 30 minutes ago! These people are ruthless. Is this even legal? who do we make a formal complaint to?

They cannot do it legally without your authorization (theft if they do).
