IRS Scam. Don't answer.

So I answered my phone to (213) 985-7718
I asked him why was he calling me
He said because you owe tax money
He got loud, now his phones being tracked.

Same thing here, told my husband he was going to get arrested because he owed back taxes.

I got a call they said they was from treasury Dept and it was about a payment, then they said I had a warrant out for my arrest and I owe money to IRS, I said really, I had identity theft and fraud on my acct and I dont owe, they hung up. So I called back. Whats weird, they had all my info, I did not comment on all the info they had. How can they get this info. When I called back they answered treasury dept, robert johnson id number 10037 I think and jason was 10059. stop these people.

They just threatened to arrest my grandmother for taxes we have proof she filed. If they call you just report then to your local pd

Allen claims to be working on behalf of the US Treasury. When I said I wasn't interested, he asked if I had heard of the IRS. I said that I was familiar with the IRS. He then said something about having an officer to come to my house to arrest me. I laughed and he hung up. Would someone please contact Allen and offer him a real job?

They called, I said hello, then silence, so I hung up.

Same, here..."James Webb" called me, I asked him how the weather was in India.

Its a shame that Im sure some elderly people would certainly be taken advantage of

Exactly as Carrie above.  Scam using the US Department of Treasury as their front.  They even go so far to give a number and ID Badge#.  James Carter was the name he provided and sounded like he was from India.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION about you.  I also reported this to the Federal Trade Commission who handle these types of complaints,

Received call from someone claiming to be with U.S. Treasury Department. Said I had been audited and taxes from 2010 and 2011 were wrong, and I owed. Said I needed a criminal attorney as criminal charges were being filed. Received second call later from same number with an automated message stating this was a second notification and I needed to respond or else I will have to appear before a magistrate or grand jury.

Exactly what they said to me.  I contacted Level 3 Communications, the telephone provider and reported them.  They said their policy is to call the number to verify information and then they shut the number down.  We'll see.  These people need to be caught!

I urge you to bombard this number with hang up  calls
Keep them busy so they wont have time to defraud anyone!
