I know that this is not a company that I owe monies to. Why are they calling me with a  Middle Eastern accent and cursing me and my employers saying that I owe them monies.

Me too got a phone call at work saying I owe them money and that I was being sued. I want to know why they are calling me at work and on my cell harassing me? The Person stated his name was Thomas Black

A person stating his name is Thomas Black called my job stating that I owe money and that if I paid $320 I would be all set.

Jack Wilson called me and left a message saying i owe money. I tried to return the call and got a voice mail ( not from a law firm. Just a computer msg. saying to leave a message.) I kept calling and got a answer, They transfered me to the sr. attorney. Said his name was Jason Anderson. Did not sound like a Jason to me. And for sure was not a Anderson. He said i owed 790$ And i asked for proof and he told me he could not send me any proof. Gave me an address of 302 Webster Dallas tx. I can not find that address. He got very upset with me when i told him his # was a scam.

Also got a call from this person yesterday "Thanksgiving Day".  Knew it was a scam when I heard the voice message.  What law firm or otherwise is open and calling people on the holiday?  Accented man saying he was from the Jefferson Law Firm and that I owed him money.  Blocked his number and will continue to block whichever number they call from.

The business and rep names in this thread have all been linked to fake payday loan collection before. If you find a valid US address you can do plenty of damage through a FDCPA lawsuit. If it's the typical PDL scam, the best you can do is file complaints in various places.

I got the same call! Although I have to say back in 2007/2008 I did apply online for pay..so thats how they get your info. The one company I did pay and the other unfortantly I did place in my bankupcy I filed in 2010. I just had small credit cards I owed and was out of work at the time. Since then I have had a good job and have 1 credit card now and just when I feel like Im on track and happy boom the the phone rings and its another strange number with the same story to wire funds. I did back in 2009 wire someone 500 and it was a scam.I have talked to the police in my town and other towns, I google the numbers and haev filed complaints. Its sad cause it deff upsets me when they claim ill go to jail or have warrents out. I have nothing on my credit report of such debts and if I have any outstanding im sure id have a court date or certified mail or something ligt so I can show proof of bankrupcy or even pay it off for that matter. At this point though I dont want to change my cell number cause I have had this number for years..but this throws me right into a tizzy. I hope they all get cought cause its not right, and if a debt was due there is no way any judge would have anyone give a company that threatens jail or warrents or cursing ppl out any money..thats them breaking the laws and rights we have as citizens. I was late to work an hour the other day cause I sat in my local police dept writting a complaint about yet another number. They are mean people and it shoudl be stopped we have rights as well. I do wish everyone that is dealing with this good luck. Sorry for the long post but its good to vent too others who are in the same boat.
