Caller ID displayed as "Unassigned", following by an unrecognizable number. I let it go to my answering machine to screen the call. They didn't leave a message. I dialed back the number, remained silent on the line, and encountered a recording that said, "Thank you for returning our call. We have an important matter to discuss with you regarding your vehicle. This will only take a moment. Please hold the line for the next available agent." Music played in the background briefly, then a male agent picked up the line and said, "Thank you for calling. My name is Eduardo. Whom do I have the pleasure of speaking with today?.......Hello?.......Anybody there?" The call then disconnects.

The agent did not identify what organization he belongs to.

Claimed to be calling "on behalf of <car dealership name>" asking whether I had bought a car that I had been looking for.  I had been to the dealership that they mentioned and *did* buy a car from them.  If they truly were calling for the dealership, they would have known that I had bought a car from them.  They refused to give any further information about themselves other than the "calling on behalf of".

It seems to be an appointment reminder service for car dealerships.  I called back and spoke with a lady.  I explained the reminder message came the day AFTER my appointment.  ;-)
