A man called me from this number (he knew my name) and said he was with the Dallas Police drug enforcement department and said I had purchased narcotics from someone they had under surveillance. I knew this was some kind of prank or scam and hung up on him.

Same experience here. They called 30 min ago. He had a northeast/New York accent. Told me he was a “special agent” and they were conducting an active investigation of another individual. Said they’ve looked at my background and it was clean so they think my contact with that other person may have been inadvertent.

I cant help it and have to play around with these guys...the whole time he’s telling me this, I’m responding every 5 or 6 seconds with “uh huh...uh huh” and “oh dear!”  He hesitated every time I did this so I’m pretty sure it pissed him (and the other guy) off.

So after he told me that my contact with a person they were investigating may have been inadvertent, he politely asked me to write down his credentials so I could verify him and he could continue discussing “the case”.

At that point, I said “No, I’d rather you send me something or come visit me”.  When I said that the second guy (also with a northeastern/New York accent) said in an aggressive/pissed off manner: “Okay, we’re gonna come visit you, [***]!”

I said okay and hung up.

He called our office this morning and asked for me.....lol I work for a lawfirm, that's all I needed to say, as he hung up!  LOL!

He acted like he was a police officer and that they had a warrant

Same experience, this guy said he was a special agent with the Dallas drug enforcement agency. When I asked him for his supervisor’s name and number he hung up on me. About 2 months ago another guy called supposedly from a drug enforcement agency in Lubbock Texas. I went along with him for a while and he finally go mad and hung up on me. lol!!!
