college solicitation?

I receive calls from this number all times of the day and even on weekends. I never pick it up. It is labelled as Ruffalo Cody and he/she never leaves a message.

Same happening here.  😕

Another annoying call to speak to my daughter about a college. I have yet to get a call from a college that she visited or expressed interest, only snail mail or email.
A real call would say that this is X from College Y, then ask to speak to my daughter.

This call is from a service used by many colleges to see if your child would be interested in learning more about their school.  If they get a definite "no", you may avoid snail mail coming from that school.  LESSON - when your kid takes the PSAT, ** Don't let them put down your home phone number **.

That would still be illegal.  I'm assuming the child is under 18?  If that is the case they cannot legally agree to receive calls on your behalf.  This is a scam company that somehow gets the names of kids taking these tests.  If they are getting them from the PSAT, I think that would be a problem that should be brought up, either with the school district or in the courts.  In any case, I suggest that you do the following:
