Got a call but they left no message.

Called my cell and left no message.  Locale is Philadelphia

Called my cell and left no message.  Location Lower Bucks County

They asked "is Steven there?" I said yes, this is he. They asked "Is the head of the household there?" I said yes, this is he. They hung up. Shady!

Sounded like a recording trying to convince people it's a real person. Something about a group for police officers and state troopers, asking for a donation. Refused and hung up. Don't remember the exact name of the group, so can't determine if it's a scam or not, but I'd bet real money on scam.

Scam.  Called my cell, Said they were calling from pa police donation center. Bs!!  I use truecaller and blocked the #, Will also complain

Called my cell wanting money for troopers.  Pennsylvania State Police NEVER solicit for money.  Purely a scam.

This number 215-383-0518 called at evening after 6:00 PM, did not pick up, no message left, blocked from now. Quite a scammer!

First caller asked "Is this Josephine" I said no, no one by that name here. Then a pause, and clearly a pre-recorded message; "Ok, well maybe you can help me then..." At that point I hung up. There are scammers calling that ask your name and try to get you to say "Yes" which they record as supposed evidence of your agreeing to pay for something. Not knowing if it was that, I just hung up. But on the other hand, after reading the above comments, I recall getting the same kind of calls on my home phone and it was one of those faux police charities trying to get money. I sure feel sorry for any elderly people that are tricked into these calls. Anyway, blocked the call on my cell phone. Also noticed they tried to call me three times today.

They called me and asked if Jessica was there (I am not Jessica) and I said they had the wrong number.  He gave me the same speech as you got.

Called me and didn't answer. Didn't leave a message

Called at 4pm and asked for Brian. I said he is not her. Then a voice sound like a recording was talking and I told them to go to hell. The voice thanked me and hung up

The same thing happened to me.  But this time the woman asked for me to collect money for breast cancer research.  Maybe I should call her and and ask for a donation to my beer fund.

No message left but don't answer "Yes" to any question they ask. They will record it to use it against you in the future!!

Be careful when answering "yes" questions when talking to someone you don't know.  There is telephone scam that gets you to say "yes" so they can record your voice for fraud.  There are automated systems that let you do everything by using a key pad until a needs a voice recorded authorization of "yes".
