I thought it may have been a scam also. I had a balance from Farm Bureau when I switched insurance companies and they called me to pay my balance off. I called Farm Bureau in my hometown and I was assured that it was not a scam, they pick up unpaid accounts. I did pay my balance through them. Hope this helps someone. :)

You seem like a shill to me.  And it does sound like a scam.  Nothing you wrote makes an y  sense.

If you call that 215-600-3018 number  they answer by saying "Transworld Systems Incorporated" and they are debt collectors.  Supposedly in Ohio.

Actual debt collectors. They took over a medical bill that I contested for over a year that went to collections. The service was preauthorized by the doctor's office,  verified by me,  yet the insurer never paid the claim.  Trans World  is persistent. I made payment arrangements and have been paying the bill for months,  yet, still they call at least once a month.

Yes, we know they are actual debt collectors, however they routinely break the law while attempting to collect those debts.  Tell me, did they prove to you that they have the legal right to collect that debt?  Probably not since you readily are paying them, plus you are happily allowing them to break the law by calling you even though you are already paying them.  Amazing, no wonder crooks like this stay in business.

What it helps is that your post shows what happens when people do not make the debt collector follow the letter of the law.  Your post proves that people help keep these criminal outfits in business by gladly paying some random voice on the phone that says they owe money and then they find out they were scammed.

I don't care what anyone else says about this number ... I have no debt to be collected, and I have no relationship with Farm Bureau Insurance.  Screw these people, I blocked them.
