Got a call from this number and called it back.  It was from Cleveland Clinic in regard to a procedure that I had done 3 weeks before.

Thanks, I got a call that went to voicemail with a robot that was trying to respond to my voicemail prompt. "..Didn't catch that, is this <my name>, please say yes or no.." Now I know who it was.

Machine called and wanted to speak only to me. When I answered, machine said it was the Cleveland Clinic and was sorry but there was a problem with the line and asked me to call back at the number they called from and repeated this number. Closed with statement that they were the Cleveland Clinic ans I was to find out about my health...
This jerk should be fined and sent to jail!

From Cleveland Clinic with info for an upcoming test I am having. Directions for going to a website and access code. Computer call.

This number called me claiming they were the Cleveland Clinic and they had a message for me and to call them back at the same number that called me (216-206-6754). It seemed suspicious to me, so I call the real Cleveland Clinic number and they told me that there was no message for and that that number was not one of theirs. Please be careful and don't give your health and identifying information out to anyone but your actual doctor's office. Scary!

Robot calling from Cleveland Clinic to give me access to a “training” on patient safety for an upcoming surgery I’m having. Not spam. Just a bunch of yes or no questions to gain access.

Automated call saying it was Cleveland Clinic following up on information it set me. I checked with Cleveland Clinic directly, but they said they did not contact me. I did not call back. But I want to know how the caller got my name.

It was a robot claiming that it was from the Cleveland Clinic. Even though it knew my name, I didn't respond to any of its voice-recognition questions.

Voice recognition Robot CLAIMING to be from the Cleveland Clinic started to ask confidential information about me. I smelled a SCAM and hung up. Am I not worthy of a clerical worker's time?

That is a Cleveland Clinic number.  Not sure why they would say it isn’t.

Possibly because it isn't? I'd be more inclined to believe them than someone who looked up a known phone number for no logical reason.

Got a strange robocall regarding health info that they could not give me over phone.  Asked if I wanted wen site to read info.  I said no.  Caller ended call.

This is a scam. Claiming to be Cleveland Clinic. They are not, I confirmed this with a phone call to CCF, who said it was an outside number and the website the phone number gave me was not associated with the Cleveland Clinic. Please ignore this number.

Fake message from Cleveland Clinic. It was a recording. Not like the calls we normally get from the Cleveland Clinic. Someone trying to get your information.

NEVER give info by phone in response to unknown numbers and robo calls. Cleveland Clinic and others HAVE the info being requested and giving personal info by phone to an unknown caller is NEVER wise and always a huge risk.  Delete and never respond to unknown numbers

I received a voicemail from 216-206-6754 on 11/12/21.

The transcript of the visual voicemail is "Hello this is a call on behalf of Cleveland Clinic for [my first/last name]. We called to check in about some health content we sent that we'd like for you to review. Please call back the same number to hear more. The number we called you on was 216-206-6754. Hope to hear from you soon."

My first red flag was that the caller ID came up in a personal name form as "Clin Cleveland" with the number. When I got an actual call from the Cleveland Clinic a few days prior, it came up as Cleveland Clinic with the main appointment number. I don't think a major hospital is going to (a) abbreviate their name in any system, or (b) allow such a targeted department number to show up on outgoing calls. Heck, even my local doctor uses their main number only on outgoing calls.

Second flag is that I hadn't had an appointment with them yet for them to have anything for me to review.

Third, I checked the patient portal and there was nothing in my inbox or health record. So, I am 100% confident that this is a scam or phishing attempt.

Avoid, avoid, avoid! Kudos to those that called the Clinic directly rather than calling back the scam number. To those that didn't, I hope you did not have any ill effects!
