Another site indicates it is a fund raising attempt for families of police officers killed or injured while on duty.  My elderly MOM received three calls this week from this number, but that many or more from VT (802) listed numbers & hate to admit how many calls in only the last month from many different numbers all over VT (as many as ten or more), OR, WA, and now this number from OH!  Our local County Sheriff's Dept. does fund raising for killed or injured police but through mail with a note that states "we will never call by phone"(!).  Obviously these scam scumbags are trying to jump on the bandwagon to raise funds for their pocket under the same pretense!

We live in OH and just received a phone call from one of these guys. I wish I could have recorded our conversation because he was all over the place with his facts. First he said he was with the Firefighters Assn. and asked if he could mail us a donation request. I asked him if I could mail him a donation and he very cleverly stated he would rather mail the information to us. Then I asked him again for the name of his association and stumbled all over the place and finally got it together and said it the the US Fire Fighters Assn. and told me to Google the name for the address. Seems a bit fishy and odd that he couldn't give me the address.  I then told him we have a firehouse a mile from our home and that I would make our donation to them directly. Then he got pretty huffy and  said: "Did I ask you for money? No. I just wanted to mail you the information".  Yeh right!  We are senior citizens and we are on to these guys. BTW This particular guy had a definite New England accent and the call came through showing Cleveland.  Beware !!!

Got a call where they called, sat there and said my first name and I answered "Yes" and they hung up. Sick of getting these calls.  My number is on the Do Not Call Registry...which I guess won't weed out these creeps.

Just checked another website for this number & stated that call was from Level 3 Communications LLC based in Cleveland, Ohio.  Just very annoying to get these calls. I have caller id but one doesn't always recognized everyone phone number so I do ocassionally answer calls that come up with "Ohio" call.  Apparently, the "do not call " registry has become the "do call & call often" registry.

I'm tired of getting calls from the phone number 216-539-2526. I'm not sure who it is because when I answer, nobody is there.  I try to call it back and it says the Magic Jack member you have called cannot be reached. I just want the calls from this number to stop.  

I have been getting calls from this number for two whole months now. It is every single day and sometimes two times a day. I am sick and tired of it and it is harassment.  Many times when I answer no one is there and then I hear a hang up.  Other times, Its a person asking for money for fallen police officer families. I also ask questions and find many inconsistencies in their little story. This is obviously a scam and they need to be found and arrested.  They are harassing people and committing fraud. I have asked them to quit calling numerous times and obviously they don't listen. I thought it was a federal law that when you tell them to stop calling and take them off your list, that they have to or they can face fines and arrest.  It better stop or I am contacting the Ohio Attorney General and my local phone company. It is ridiculous.

These people keep calling my 96 year old neighbor using auto-dialer.  She gets up to answer the phone and usually there is no one there.   She has also gotten the "sales" pitch for military/fire/police donations.  "She is on the do not call list."  Wish they'd leave folks alone!

Called twice during church. Ringer was off. They left no message. Have blocked.

Called my cell phone. I didn't answer, and no message was left. Blocked and deleted. It is really high time that congress got aggressive with this kind of complete disregard to the Do Not Call Registry.

This number called and when I called back the first time, it wouldn't connect.  The second time, it was a robo voice saying I had reached "The Fundraising Center".  It's infuriating because I work for a fire department and these evil people are pretending to collect for fire, police, etc.

REPEATED PHONE CALLS ON MY CELL DAILY.  NO MESSAGES LEFT.

Just about every call I get from Cleveland is from a call center with some scam.  The national "do not call" registry is another big scam. Taxpayers deserve their money back.

Keep getting calls from this number. 2 or more times a day. Never leaves a message. Checking into the number all info points to a scam donation request. Blocked the number in my phone settings. Have to see if it works or they just go thru another number.
