Recorded call - CREDIT CARD SCAM!!!! Want to give you 0% interest on your credit card in return for your personal information! DON"T GIVE IT TO THEM!!!! Cold callers wanting to open a credit card equals BAD NEWS!!! SCAM (I laughed my talking caller ID announced Peoples A$$)

Same lady with accent (British?) that calls from other numbers.  "We have been monitering your credit, and due to you excellent payment record, you qualify for this one time offer....." Sure wish it was one time and they would stop calling. My phone block directory is full.

Another scam caller, blocked. Looks like it's  scam caller day.

Another robotic caller about my credit card....yeah yeah got this same bull hours before and days before. Does anyone really fall for this?

Like others before me, this call was taken by the answering machine and told I could lower my  something or other if I pressed  1 for assistance.  Not interested to talk with a "Peoples Assistant".  Erased message.

Same old lower your interest rates scam I get from many different numbers.

Woman with English accent (beginning of message clipped on answering machine) offering to lower interest rate on credit cards.  If it were up to me these people would never be allowed to use a phone ever again.

Just got same type of call - BTW, the missing beginning of the call recording is done on purpose, not accidentally.

Just another scam.

This is the same old scammer.  After length robotic message, I press a button and a real person started to talk (with accent).  We should all talk to them for as long as possible.  This is the only way to tire them down and frustrate them.  At the end, I said go to hell and he said [***] [***].  You may just hang up after length enquiry without curse to them.

Same as a lot of previous comments.  "Peoples Assista" on Caller ID.  They left a robocall about saving me money if I owed on my credit cards.  Will block them, and report them to the "Do Not Call" Registry, not that it seems to do any good.

I keep getting calls from this number.  The caller id says "Peoples Assist".  the message says "We have reviewed your excellent credit history and can reduce the interest rate on you credit cards."  I don't have any credit cards and I have told them  several times to stop calling me.  I have also pressed the number "1" to be removed from their calling list yet I still get the phone calls.  This is a scam

"Increase these are mastercard is raising the interest rate. I can see you this will have to double them monthly minimum payments because we have been monitoring your credit and your excellent payment history. You are now eligible to lock your interest rate at 0% for the next 12 months on all your credit card accounts in gradulations. This is a one time offer press 1 to speak to a live representative now and complete your enrollment press one now and enjoy the savings. dude, bye"

Caller ID: "Peoples Assista[nce]"

A robo call with an annoying British accent (you know, where words ending with letter "a" are pronounced like "er" so that "Visa" is pronounced "Vee-zer") that opens warning that recent Federal Reserve Bank interest rate increases will cause consumers to have to double their monthly minimum debt payments. It's also a bit spooky that they claim to be monitoring my credit and know that I have an "excellent payment history".

Their "shotgun" approach to making mass phone calls, and their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethic, doesn't it? The fact that their recording uses a British accent suggests to me that this scam originates in India, which we all know to be a hot-bed of telephone scam activity.

Here is a transcript of this automated, intrusive and unwanted robo call:

[female voice w/British accent:] "Hi this is an important reminder regarding recent Federal Reserve Bank interest rate increase. Vee-zer or Mastercard is raising their interest rate and consumers will have to double their monthly minimum payments. Because we have been monitoring your credit and your excellent payment history, you are now eligible to lock your interest rate at 0% for the next 12 months on all your credit card accounts. Congratulations. This is a one time offer. Press one to speak to a live representative now and complete your enrollment. Press one now and enjoy the savings."

Robocall.  Stated that due to my excellent payment record, they can lower the interest rate on my credit cards.   I don't have any credit cards, yet I keep getting calls from them.  This is clearly a scam.

Nuisance call. I wish to be taken off this list!

It's unlikely these scammers have a list and even if they did, they wouldn't take you off it because they don't care that you don't want to be called. Just block their number - or the entire area code if you don't know anyone in it.

Caller ID said People's Assistance 2165530347  I did not answer the call it rang a couple of times and that was all.
