I received a call from this number in my office yesterday.  I did not pick it up and they did not leave a message asking that I call back.  I am in Boston.  It is NOT my doctor's office.  Our area code (617) makes is hard to believe someone misdialed area code 216.

Could someone be phishing for active lines?

They called me today at 5:07 pm and they hung up before I could respond.

Clinic makes sense, but why don't they leave a message?

It is the Cleveland Clinic but I dont know why. I have no Dr. there so why are they calling me and not leaving a message. When you call back you cant get anywhere unless you know the partys extenstion but since no one left a message I have no extention to get them to stop calling. They call while I am at work and not available to answer to tell them to leave me alone.

Yes.  This number is the Cleveland Clinic.  It is one of the random numbers that are used when someone from one of the Clinic's many sites dials out.

It is also the number from Cleveland Clinic that will show up if;
they are calling to tell you someone is in ER or
someone is calling you from a patient's room or
a patient is calling you or
appt. reminder
It will not allow to leave a message, remember too the Clinic is nationwide and international, the call could be coming from anywhere but will still be routing through the switch at the clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Received a call also, politely informed the female caller she had the wrong # when she asked to speak with someone I've never heard of, and she was sarcastic...she did not apologize for calling either.  I hung up.  A little while later another call from this #. I didn't answer.  Sounds more like a collection agency or someone trying to collect on a debt.

Nailed it. My daughter works at the Clinic and depending where they call from a random Clinic number is assigned to out-going that call.

Cleveland Clinic appointment reminder - however, they did leave a message for me unlike what others experienced.

I received a call from this number today with no message.  We do deal with the Clinic so that explanation makes sense.  I guess if it was important, they would have left a message...

This is definitely CCF.  If you ever request a call back from your doctor's office, this is one of the telephone numbers that shows up when they call you.

I've received calls from the automated appointment reminder service and they didn't leave a message. Perhaps it depends who is using this particular outbound number.
