Our caller ID listed a different number. They left a voicemail saying that we could get discounts on our Nicor account and to call this phone number. They also said that we should have our bill ready. If it really was Nicor we should not have to have our bill ready. I expect that it is someone trying to sell us gas through a different company.

Left voicemail that she saw on my bill that I am eligible for discounts. On callback, I was to have my bill with me. Why do I need my bill - she said she checked it already. Scammer. Yesterday I got an electric company scam call. They are trying hard to get credit card numbers.

Received a call from this number that left me a voice mail to call them regarding my Nicor Gas Bill.  I told them I don't have Nicor Gas and wanted to know if they would use my phone number to look up for an account because I said I was concerned someone had an account in my name.  He said no it was probably just a wrong dial.  I then asked if I gave them my name would he be able to look it up that way and he said NO.  I said what is going on here, I think this is a scam and he hung up the phone.
