They said they were from "Degree Advisor."  When I asked the lady what school she was with and why she was calling, she hung up.

I was nice on the phone and cordial, as I had recently applied for online classes.  Thought she was from a college.  But she just hung up.

Oh well.

I have never signed up for or inquired about classes of any kind.Have done job searches but that it.They keep calling and keep calling, all hours of the day any day of the week, I have asked and texted to stop callng, they still call!! I have the number now on auto reject...ugh

You have to get on the Do Not Call Registry. Once you are registered, if they do not remove you from their calling list and you still receive calls, you have to report it/file a complaint to the Do Not Call Registry.
Once you do that they get fined for violating the Do Not Call Registry lists, and will stop calling.

Why are you telling 800notes.com to stop calling?  You need to direct your demand to the one(s) that actually are calling you.  Better yet, block the number.

They told me they were  calling in reference to  elder neglect.  I had know idea what they were talking about so I hung up the phone.

I received a call today stating that they were with Social Security Disability.  When I asked if this was a random phone call or how they had received my number there was a long pause.  Then the man shouted at me, "Do you want Social Security Benefits or Not!"  I hung up.

Called today, said he was from Social Security disability.  He said I had just applied for it.  Then he said, can you hear me?  I said no, you're wrong.  He hung up.  It's a scam.  Don't say yes you hear them.  I have been on Medicare for 20 years.
