Only ONE ring to my cell phone and this call routed to my voicemail box (I have my ring times set up for 5 rings before calls transfer to the voicemail). These violators utilize any means necessary in their attempts to engage your time and/or attention.  I called the number, a representative answered, and I requested that my phone number be removed from their database. The rep, a female, advised me she would remove it, advised me to register my number online at www.donotcall.gov., and that it could take up to 30 days for the request to become effective.
