Just got the same call. Sounded like a Native American man to me, which is scary because I grew up on a reservation and know plenty of people with the same accent. I really thought it was someone I knew. Called the Missoula PD, she said she got another report tonight, but I couldn't file a report because it's out of their scope. Creepy.

I'm from Texas as well. I received a voicemail from this number yesterday that was about a minute and a half of him breathing, whispering my name, and weird computer sounds. He then called a couple hours later and I picked up.  It was a similar story to what has been posted on here... he knew my name and said "You know who I am. I'm the boyfriend of one of your girlfriends" and he said he just needed someone to talk to.  He didn't really whisper and actually started getting frustrated and yelling at me to think harder because I wouldn't play along and guess who he was. And then he said he was sorry for calling me and hung up. Pretty creepy, especially if that's not his real number!  I think he must have gotten my name and number from my university directory.  He had a slight accent, maybe Indian?

Called me earlier today.  Wouldn't tell me who he was.  Called me by my name but got frustrated when I wouldn't say that it was me & play his game of "don't you know who this is".  From reading these other stories it sounds like maybe he got our numbers from U of MT or AT&T in Missoula, MT or something.  Hope they catch this creeper!  How annoying!

A man called at 7pm and said he could not speak loud, sorry for calling me like this. I said I did not know him. He said think of a girlfriend's boyfriend. I said no recollection. He said okay, sorry for calling. I hung up.

People do not randomly get my phone number, so this is odder than odd.

Same guy just called my girlfriend.  We are in great falls montana. Same story about girlfriend's boyfriend. He could be getting our names from our voice mail.  

Got a call today. Same "girlfriend's boyfriend" [***]. Knew my name. Told my boyfriend and he reminded me that Facebook publishes your phone number without your consent. I fixed that. But also I applied to Univ Montana for this fall, I am not going, but yeah he must have some access to UM info. I will email the university.  A reminder to keep your social media secure-- even if he didn't get this from FB.
