Did not want to say hew thay were or hew thay were calling for saying I owed a det. Thay ask for a Adren. I looked it up & got Hodge something &  then lost contact.

Stated her name is Sylvia Holt.  They received this is a notice of escalation and that their client has decided to take matters to the next step and that I should have my attorney contact them. SCAM!!

Received this call asking for another person. Stated that this is an important call and matterd will escalate quickly if this was not the man they presumed. A woman saying her client is taking their case to the next step.I hung up after that.

Called for my uncle that I just started talking to a week or two ago. After not talking to my uncle for 10 year... Werid why does this person have my info?

I got the same call and 'Sylvia Holt' left a message on my cell phone voicemail say the SAME stuff.  But the only difference is that the message was for my younger brother, who is 37 years old.

Same thing here. Called , asked for my sister who lives in ND. I called back, thinking she had got into financial trouble. A lady answers the phone, "IRS". Really ppl. SCAMMERS!!

Same here. I know that it's a debt I have but the threat to take me to court if I don't do something today was absolutely nonsense. I like lots of others owe someone but to harass like that, horrible.

Tape them they are scammers  than fill out a police report no your rights they are useing a spoof number looking old victims

Left recorded message on answering machine: Robocall message to hang up if not karen stoltz (know no such person) - then proceeds to give message that they are an attorney and their client will be filing paperwork by the end of the day to take action and papers will be served......etc.    Same old IRS/Debt scam new name and phone number

All the above stories are the same with me. Silvia Holt called robot message the same. She called several members of my family with the same last name with the same message. I hope that some day these crooks get their real reward.

Caller said sylvia holt also, has also contacted my son who called back and requested to be removed or they would be reported! I told him to block the number. She is calling every person with our last name, doesn't say who they represent, if i had a debt i am sure they would contact me directly and state the name of their company. Scammers

The idea is to call all your friends, relatives and neighbors to create panic and embarrassment so that you will easily pay their extortion fee.  the problem with paying extortion money is that it never ends after that.

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

In any event do not pay these callers anything.  Always demand a debt validation letter be sent you by US mail.  E-mail no good.  Of course they won't do this so simply block and ignore Miss Sylvia's calls.

This is an IRS Scam. The lady Sylvia Holt calls and says they are going to cease all of your assets. It's actually funny to me because I keep calling THEM back and they said, "STOP CALLING US. YOU ARE STALKING US". But again, it IS a scam and it has been all over the news.

They just called me looking for my exhusband. I told her we've been divorced for over 2 years and asked how she had my NEW phone number. She said she didn't know how they got my new number but would gladly remove it. She asked if I still had contact with my ex and how to get ahold of him. Obviously I don't talk to my ex, he's an ex for a reason and I got a new number for a reason! So I wouldn't be tied to all his bullsh*t

Received a phone call this morning from a Sylvia Holt saying she was the IRS looking for my mother. I told her it wasn't who she was looking for and Hung up on me. If the matter is serious why would the person hang up on you? The lady was rude. SCAM PEOPLE. DON'T FALL INTO THIS TRAP.

Called and asked for my daughter - indicating paperwork had been forwarded from last Thursday - call tonight and may be able to stop it.  Also used Sylvia Holt.
