I got a call from them just a while ago. Checked the # at 411.com, it's a mobile phone out of Chicago. I pressed 1 mainly to tell whoever it was to stop calling. A female asked if I was interested in lowering my rates I said no I wanted to know who was calling my house she she never responded again. I just filed at complaint at Gov't the do not call website. Seems like it is a scam. I'd advise everyone report them. Should be pretty easy to trace that phone to someone

Just like everything else our congress pretends to fix, the DNC program is a worthless bust. I am sure, however, that there are plenty of overpaid relatives with patronage jobs associated with this bogus program. Don't waste your time. They dump your complaint into a data base. Nothing more. They are not there for you and add a typical meaning to the words, "I'm from the government, I'm here to help". They should cut that program and stop wasting tax money on it. I have an old ear-shattering police whistle I use as a friendlly reminder to these parasites that if they want to keep being phone parasites that call my number, they only have two ears and once they are both gone, they will have to find something else to do.

Margo, I'm sorry to tell you that in my experience theDo Not Call list does not work. The same numbers call me over and overland I have no evidence that these crooks are ever stopped.

The number you are seeing is a Boost Prepaid Phone thru the parent company Sprint.  The company is using VOIP and having that number show up on your Caller ID.  That's why when you attempt to return the call its busy.

The Do Not Call list is very a very real thing, however there has been a misconception for quite some time where many believe that all telemarketing companies have access to this "list." This is not true. If you are on the list, and you inform a telemarketer of this and they continue to call you--this is where you can take action. Unfortunately, it is not a fix all for telemarketing. Telemarketers can also get around calling you, even if you are on the list, if you are a consumer of a company that they are affiliated with. Sneaky Devils!!

I'm receiving these calls two and three times a day. This past week, I've gotten fed up. I now press "one" each time. When I get the telemarketer, I tell them I am with the FBI and I'm investigating this number. If we all do that, maybe they won't be able to accept any more calls.

Better yet, press "one," and then say, "To avoid federal prosecution, DO NOT HANG UP. This call has been forwarded to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Phone Fraud Division. To whom am I speaking?"

If they stay on the line, ask to speak to their supervisor. Say they have been reported for fraudulent phone calls and are being investigated.  Just keep asking questions. Keep them on the phone as long as you can--the longer they are paying someone to be on the phone, the less money they are making off of this scam.

I pressed "1" to find out who was actually calling.  The first thing they ask is if I'm interested in lowering my credit card rate.  When I said that first I'd like to know who I'm speaking to.  "Johnathan" got snippy right away and asked if I'm interested or not and to not waste his time.  Rather interesting tone of voice for someone who wants my business (aka wants to take advantage of me).  I'd love to find a screener machine to give a long, message to these types of calls.  I guess the most we can do is keep them on the line for a long time, using their minutes or toll charges.

Yet another recording about credit card something or other. Can't even have the satisfaction of telling a real person to eff themselves now. I keep adding the numbers to my block list, but they keep finding new ones. I wonder if they will ever run out?
