Scamer....do not call

(219) 557-9212  Received a phone call from this number reporting something is wrong with my computer.
Nothing is wrong with my computer, I believe this is a scam

Hung up - I blocked this number immediately.  I called back and it is a non working number  - interesting.

Number called claiming to be windows and urgent problem with my computer. Told him I am on a do not call list and I already knew this is a scam and hung up! The number you can not call back

This scam operation has called us twice.  Just today and they hung up when I asked them the name of the company, where they are calling from and what is the Federal I.D. number.  He said they don't give out private information. I told them Fed. I.D. is public information and he hung up.  My young son answered the first call and thought it was legit.  Gave them our IP address and too much other info. I intervened the call before it went any further.  As a precaution we had to wipe the hard drive.

An "India" accent ! ! !  She wanted to tell me my Windows program on my computer needs repaired!   Scam !

Repeatedly calls and hang ups.  When I try to call it just rings busy.  Harrassment and on my work line!  

Person asked for the owner of the computer.  I asked them to never call again and her response is "I will call you again and again and again"

This is not only a scam,   but quite possibly a criminal operation.   Their goal is to have unsuspecting people grant them
remote access to their PC.   Once you have done this,   they can disable your security software,   download malware,
access private data, ..... the list is almost infinite.    Do not give them access to your PC.   Do not allow them to talk you into typing any commands on your PC.   Do not give them the time of day.

"Windows" is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation,   and these guys are in no way associated with Microsoft.

And that's why the DO NOT CALL list is a big joke.  Numbers are spoofed and can't be traced.  You block one number, they call back from another one.

Received call stating urgent message was send to windows  from my computer saying that computer will crash because I didn't renew windows after 6 months also said hackers are on my computer. Don't fall for scam ask for money to correct the problems for lifetime membership on all your computers.  Hung up !!! SCAM

A man with indian accent said he was a representative of microsoft. Asked him what state he was calling from: said, New York, los vegas, obviously a hacker. He was also laughing at the time. Idiots

Scam!  100% for sure.. they have your name and number then try to convince you to let them access your computer.. I laughed the guy off the phone.

There needs to be a call type called 'scammer'.. none of the options fit

The guy said he was with windows? did he have a strong Indian accent?

I had the same thing happen but..... my computer was brand stinking new!

Spam do not give this guy your IP or anything Microsoft does not fix comps over the phone( unless you like actually do it on their website)

Sounds like it... like a full scale operation
