Hello,

I am about to register a complaint with DNCL and urge everyone who has been called by this number to do the same.

I have been bothered several times by this person too.  He says it's about my computer and today I told him "I have no problem with my computer; please put me on your do not call list."  Then I started to think I had done the wrong thing and that he might be from my computer security group.  I am really glad I googled.

Called many times in one day, always hung up.

Finally got a real person today. Told me there was a problem with my computer and that he "had gotten a number of complaints..."

After telling him that he was a piece of sh*t scammer, he told me he's going to "hack my computer" and "come kick my ass."

These are great guys. Indian accent, I should add. "Steve" was his name.

They have called over that last week , 3-4 times a day and hang up.  About 6 months ago they also said they were from Micro Soft.  I figured at the time if it was Micro Soft I would be able to understand them.  Was blessed with no calls for about 6 months and now the daily intrusion.

about the same thing happened and i strung along as well to a point   he wanted me to hit the flag key and r at the same time and that prompted the run command ...he ask me what it said then wanted me to type in   eventvwr        do not do that ...then the cussing begin from me and then he let loose saying he hacked my pc and got all my money out of the bank cussed me and my wife and finally I hung up on him  -they called about 5 more times like they didnt know where they waqs calling with the same message ....it is best say you don't have a computer-haang up....I think it was a vonage call but I dont know

This number comes up at least 3 times a day and the person that calls informs me that my computer has a virus and he could fix it.  Much to his surprise I told him that he reached the RCMP then a big click.  There should be some way of blocking this number and all the unwanted numbers that we have to put up with.

Have received at least 10 calls today alone from this number. No answers. Any answers anyone?

Called left no message. TG for Caller ID. 98% of our calls are spam.

Yeah i have advice for everyone just argue with them untill they hang up its worked twice for me :) if you try to talk to them rationally they dont listen and try to make you feel dumb next time answer the phone City Mourge you stab em we slab em and see what happens :)

They're trying to say theres a virus on your computer / internet when there is not i personally just piss them off by arguing and i dont doubt that they're the same company who tried the microsoft scam not too long ago.

I got a call from these guys today about there is a virus on my computer.  I told them that the computer was not actually owned by me but owned by a government agency.  Before I got their name and number they hung up.

I've seen this number come up on my call display a few times - they don't leave a message.  Today I received the call at 4:06pm

today feburary 20th I have received 3 phone calls from this very annoing 1-222-555-7777 number i ignored the first two and answered the 3rd and nobody was there. Im on the do not call list for telemarketers so i do not know where they are getting my number!

Like a lot of you I have been receiving calls from this number for the past 2 days and after some surfing found the area code belongs to Mauritania which I believe is shown as on the east coast of Africa. I chose not to reply. Hope this helps those who are having problems locating the originating area of these calls.

What happened to the do not call registry??

I never answer a call from a number I don't know and since when is there a 555 exchange???

Who is this?   The calling started yesterday.  When I answer they hang up.
Can I block this number?

I've rcvd two calls today in 2 hours. First time I answered without looking at number, as soon as I answered they hung up. I figured it was an automated dialer calling to see when I'm home so the real telemarketer can call back at the "right" time of day.  The second time I did not answer. Then I looked it up on google and this board was the 2nd listing.

I do like the suggestion to answer the phone as "Law Offices."  roflmao!

222-555-7777 called at least five times in two hours. I asked them not to call but they won't stop. Anything I can do about it?

Received the same call telling me that they were advised my PC was sending them errors. I told them that they RCMP advised people of you scammer and they should be ashamed of themselves for scamming people and they are going straight to hell. The calller told me " no should to to hell first".

They Asked to talk to the computer owner.  the said they were from the maintance of some company and wanted to talk to the owner of the computer once y husband asked if I had problems with the computer they hung up on him, tried calling this number back and we cant.

This number has called me 6 times since I was assigned my home number. I always answer,"Hello, How may I help you?" The 347-227-6912 telephone recording says it is for "Our Valued, South African customers."  What non-sense is this?  I owe no-one money, my bills are paid on time.  The recording of message is a female voice of South African descent. Dutch South African, I am very good at recognizing accents.  This is a complete sham, fraudulent, company operating from another country.  They can get these untraceable throw-away cell phones.  They person with AT&T is right, they don't give a "Rats backside" about your nuisance callers.  If you have "call-block", "call-screen", or Privacy Protector with your land-line home phone, turn it on!
