They called this past Sunday. No message.

I answered the phone and it was "John from the Illinois Police Officers Alliance." I felt it might be a recording so I asked a question and got no response so I hung up.

Just called my cell number. My phone labeled this number as "Potential Spam", I did not answer and they didn't feel the need to leave a voicemail message.  No message = scam.

Won't stop calling and will not talk when answered

This has repeatedly happened to me I am so sick of this 4-4-2018 @3:23PM

same here today only on voice mail -> "(John from the Illinois Police) Officers Alliance." then "hello are you still there?" and hangup. VM cut off the first part of intro but otherwise appears to match and did sound like a robotic voice, (or a Naperville officer) :-/

Grab this and play it to them next time they call, if it is a robo-dialer the system should remove your number off the list.

I answered the call.  Only silence and then hang up. My call was from 0197 where above is 0196.  Thank you all for blogging these calls.

I answered they hang, I call back a lady answer and say This is Tekcollect  Business not sure if I’m spelling it right or tech collect but she sound sus so I hung up

Unwanted,unknown caller. No msg left, assume scam, blocking

The Male on the other end said he was calling for donations  on behalf  of firefighters and wanted  me to give him a dollar  amount....NOPE!!

Called 3x in one week. Answered the 1st time and caller hung up. Now marked as spam in my phone.

99% of all calling charities are fake, with the rest being scams and frauds.
Charities are in business to make money for themselves (even the "non-profit" ones).
To play on people's sympathies for profit is a shameful racket that's been going on ever since the first con man met the first fool. With cell phones, the internet & VOIP, the problem has grown exponentially.

This number called my work number.  I answered with our standard greeting, and they hung up.  I called back, rang a few times, and received generic voicemail.

I got a call from this #. Did not answer, I googled it, and saw the comments so I blocked it. Just block the #!

A charity that has gotten their number spoofed by a fake Social Security Scam outfit. Or the Charity has gone all out and started Scamming people to steal their Social. Who knows?  Anyway, it was a  badly recorded message claiming to be from Social Security and saying that my SS# had been suspended for suspicious activity! HAHAHA! Right. Anyway, they wanted me to press 1 to speak to a rep. I just hung up.
Second call from them I've gotten today, the other was from 425-609-0011
