Caller claiming to be with the Police Association and wanting donations. I have given to these groups in the past and have lived to regret it. They, now don't seem to be legit - meaning, they don't give much of the proceeds collected to the actual cause and once the boiler-room call center that is used to solicit the funds gets your number in their system they will call multiple times a week asking for more donations for other needy groups who hire their services. I've requested to be removed from their list to no avail. Blocking them only works temporarily. They've been calling me from spoofed numbers and also at very irritating hours of the night. Had I have known what I was getting myself into, I would have declined and just kept donating to local charities only.
There're are just too many scammers claiming to be non-profits to trust anyone who solicits via phone.
