Called me 5 times yesterday and never left a voicemail. Started calling me again today.  I am like many of you who don't answer calls from unknown numbers. Now I know to block this number, since it appears to be telemarketers.

Just an update. They have called every day, for the last several days. Today, they have called three times, in fifteen minutes. I answered the last time and told them that they need to stop calling, or I am calling the police and filing harassment charges.

Received two calls today, answered both times. The first time they just hung up on me, the second time a lady asked for by name and then hung up. When I called back I got this message:

"Thank you. The call you received was concerning local political issues and was not a sales call."

And then, of course, it hung up on me. I'm guessing it's related to polling ahead of the election.

Got calls 2 times. My phone states it's from Guinea so I didn't answer. My guess is it's a scam where if you answer, it automatically charges a fee to your phone account.

Third call today from this number, along with a call each from two other numbers (202-768-7680 & 773-887-6000). No messages, as expected. Caller ID just shows the phone number and says it's from Elk Grove Village, IL. B@$7@rd$.

I am getting to many calls from this number and I do not know who it is.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.
