I received a call from this number earlier today. As per my usual polciy, if I do not recognize the phone number, I do not answer. Surprisingly, a message was left this time. The message gave me a three second pause to ensure privacy. The message then said "if you are" (my name) you need to call GC Services, a debt collector at 8668001472, and then proceeded to give the operating hours. I receive calls like this constantly, and still maintain a policy of dealing with my debt with the original company and not a collector. I am not ignorant of the fact that it is a common practice for businesses to sell their debts (accounts receivables) for less than their value. The business gets immediate cash, and the debt purchaser can collect the full value of the debt (plus whatever other fees (sometimes illegal ones) they debt purchaser may tack on). I have never been notified of any of my debt being sold by the original creditor, so, as far as I'm concerned, I STILL OWE THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR, AND ABSOLUTELY NO ONE ELSE, AND I WILL CONTINUE DO DEAL WITH THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR ONLY!!!

The above is an exact copy of the posting I made on 256-906-4610 yesterday. I received a call from
224-588-5219 earlier today, and the same exact (automated/robot/computer-generated) message was left. The best available research indicates that GC Services is the largest collection agency and has the largest call center management network in the United States. I would think that that would explain how I can get a call from an Alabama phone number one day, and a call from an Illinois phone number the next day, and have THE EXACT SAME MESSAGE LEFT!!! As I understand it, GC Services's main office is located in Houston, Texas. Let them call from as many numbers as they wish. I still will never answer any unfamiliar numbers, and if any person or company is unintelligent enough to leave threatening message, and not realize what they are opening themselves up to by doing that, then that would be their problem, wouldn't it?

I have an IRS obligation  that I cannot pay now. GC Services is a collector FOR THE IRS & State tacx depts as well. They will keep harassing you until it's settled, maybe 3 or 4 X daily!!  This I know, from being a retired former state revenoouer(as Snuffy Smith used to call 'em)!!
