Just ask for business owner then hung up.

Caller asks to speak to owner. I inquire about what. Caller repeats "are you the owner?" I reply "I am the person who screens all calls -- this is in my job description." Caller hangs up.

My guess is it's one of those "we will lend money to your small business" deals. They always think that somehow they will do better if they refuse to state their business but manage to catch the owner unaware.

Callers who think I'm the enemy and/or try to browbeat me will NEVER get put through to anybody else at this office. If you cannot be polite and honest with the person who answers the phone, when you want a deal, what are the odds you will behave decently after something has been signed?

Just got a call from this #. No one there at first then said this is Michael from Imperial Bank. I didn't say anything and they kept saying hello. The caller id says cprocessing. Probably another CC processor wanting to save me money!!. Didn't sound like a call center in the background. Googled Imperial bank and they are out of country.

The number keeps coming up on our caller ID. When answered they hang up.  Today, I called the number back and got Michael from Imperial Bank.  I used some very colorful language and then called back again.  And then called back again.  And then called back again.  Then told them to remove from their call list.

Call sounded almost like a soundboard the way it responded. Probably someone using "Michael from Imperial Bank" as a way to get personal info. When asked if the owner is around, I quickly asked if I could leave a message. Responded with, "I understand - thank you" and hung up.

Scam/phishing.

At 10:56 AM on 6/12/2013 I received an automated call from "Michael" from Imperial Bank at 224-649-5547. There was no "opt-out" option, and it was VERY annoying. For example, as "Michael" went on and on about his loan pitch, I interjected that I'd like to talk to a real person. He responded by saying, "I am a real person." I hung up.

At 11:12 AM I received another call from "Michael", this time saying he is from Rapid Capital Network at the number 412-430-5573. I hung up.

At 2:45 pm I received another call from "Michael" from Imperial Bank. I answered 7 of his questions in order to reach a real person. I told the real guy that “Michael” called me three times from two separate phone numbers. He said that it’s their marketing strategy to do that, that it gets “results”. I said that it is counter-productive to have an annoying robo sales person (with no opt-out option), and this fellow then said to me, "If you are complaining about the call, I really don't care." and he hung up on me.

I just got a call from Michael from Imperial Bank, and he hung up on me.

Frequent recorded message on my answering machine, states press #2 to stop the call, and there's no way to do that as I'm not there.  Robo-phishing calls from telemarketers!

Apparently they do not like being called back repeatedly! Ha!

They usually hang up on me because I'm perky and LOUD.

Well, I get about 5 calls a week, sometimes it's Michael, sometimes John and Jennifer is the chick.  It is a robo call that has voice recognition.  Depending on what your response is, it will get confused.  I usually ask it about the latest big sporting event.  Only thing is, it's just a machine and any wit is lost.  Wonder why no one can find a job, we are being taken over by electronics.

Sounds like a robot. Phishing for owner and info. SO ANNOYING! These people need to die.

There was a call from this number today at 1414 hours.  The caller ID said CProcessing.  There was a bloop, then a long pause, and then a voice said: "Hi!  This is Michael.  I'm looking to talk to the owner."  When I said the owner doesn't work in the office, that ended the call.  I'm sure the annoying butt-wipes will call again and again.  I wonder if they're using these sophisticated voice recognition calling devices to try to sidestep the FCC's requirements about prerecorded messages.  If so, the FCC will have to change their rules to address these things.  And now I just got an automated message from 214-702-5791 about our company being eligible for a "free" credit card processing terminal.  Yeah, right.  Almost a half hour from the other call, I'm beting it's the same bozos.

This company calls to try to sell discount loans "with better payment options than last year." The operator who calls refuses to provide phone number or physical address.

I got a call from Jim at Imperial Bank from this number who immediately jumped into a spiel about discounted business loans.  What a moron!  Are people still so clueless that they'll give personal information to a stranger over the phone?  This number was just added to my blocked number list.

Got a call from "Michael" from "Imperial Bank".  He hung up on me when I said I thought he sounded like a recording.  I called back, and he hung up again.  Called back again, and manipulated my responses to ensure I reached a real person.

Real person explained that they do revenue based financing for companies doing $10-15k/month.  Gave a website of (www) imperialadvance (dot) com.

I got a call from a man who said he was Michael Van Horn from the Imperial Bank. I told him to never call me again and remove my number from his list and that I would report his call to the Do Not Call Registry
