FYI... Transfinancial is a collection agency. If you get a call from the automated system and press #4 (indicating that they have the wrong number) IT WILL NOT REMOVE YOUR NUMBER FROM THE SYSTEM. You have to speak to an agent to have the number removed. If you continue to get calls, it's because the person they are looking for has multiple accounts from the original creditor that have been turned over for collections. As for how they get your number - they use a variety of services that can pull info on where you work, your income, and where you have utilities in your name. THEY ARE NOT SOLICITORS so telling them to "remove you from their list" is NOT going to work. The DO NOT CALL Registry ONLY APPLIES TO SOLICITORS, not collection agencies. And as for the multiple calls a day from the automated system: FDCPA indicates that you can only make ONE PERSON TO PERSON contact a day. If the system calls you and you do not answer, that is not considered a CONTACT CALL. And how do I know this info? Cause I've worked in collections and am a Certified Collector

Has called 5 times in the past 2 hrs. Fixing to turn it over to my lawer

Received a call from this number and I do not answer calls I don't recognize. Listened to the voicemail and it's a female, English-sounding voice stating my name and to call the number back in order to change my contact information. No clue what it really is...

I will get a call, answer it, then music just plays!

They keep calling my cell phone but NEVER leave a message.

I get a call from them at least three times a day every week. I keep telling them like others that they have the wrong number and to please remove, they don't listen. And if I don't answer they do not leave message. Blocked several numbers from different collectors, so I will add them to the list.
