The "do not call" list is a joke, even in Florida. Courts ruled they can still call you but that if they do, those receiving the calls will likely consider them a shady company they won't do business with. Duh! What's the point of "do not call" if legally they can and WILL call?  I get spam-calls to my phone occasionally but I can block them and I do. Hubby has a regular basic flip phone and can't block them so he gets calls all the time. He doesn't answer if he doesn't recognize the number - this company called him today. They don't leave voice mails because they'll just call back on the next rotation of robo-dialing. They're [***] no one should do business with.

You apparently know nothing about the DNC-let me educate you and everyone else on this:
The Do-Not-Call registry does not prevent all unwanted calls. It does not cover the following:

   calls from organizations with which you have established a business relationship;
   calls for which you have given prior written permission;
   calls which are not commercial or do not include unsolicited advertisements;
   calls by or on behalf of tax-exempt non-profit organizations.
Political calls are exempt as well and criminals just see this as another law to break

You can call it anything you want, but when companies call my office line, cell phone etc. with some BS story about a friend gave them my number it is SPAM.

Called my cell this morning.  Did not leave a message.  

Received phone calls to my work cell and personal cell. Very few people know my work cell #, as it was passed on to me from a former co-worker. Bothers me that they knew my personal cell, which was called second!

Just got a call to my cell from these clowns, picked up without looking because I don't give this cell number out. A friend definitely didn't refer me for a free wireless security system. Hung up when I recognized the message since these clowns have called before. I've blocked the number, and reported to the FTC.

Received a call on my personal cell from this company this morning. Boyfriends cell rang about 30 mins later from same number. Scary that we were both somehow on the same list.

Seems I get calls from this type always selling Security Systems and robo dialing me. Then about two days later I get a collection call from some scam company saying I have some payday loan that I never took out. I don't know for sur if they are connected or not but I will update you in a couple of days as I just got the call today on a number I have only had for a couple of days now.

Didn't answer, and reading these comments added to reject list.

Sure Enough I just got a call about some legal action against me that I have no idea about. Women was very nice and seemed very Ligit until I asked who she was working for and she gave me 2 different names. when pressed for information she simple said she was not going to persue any further action.
