After receiving many similar calls where the caller ID is "Unknown Name" and the caller leaves no message, I did not answer this call out of normal precaution. If "Edward Jones" wants my opinion, he should have my broker/agent/representative ask me those questions, not call and behave in the same manner as a million other spam callers, unless they are not wanting the rep to know the answers given (since they may be about him/her)! At any rate, legitimate or not, if the call behavior is suspicious it is best to practice the height of caution.

Repeated calls from this number for several months. No name and NEVER any message. Blocked the number.

Excellent post and most relevant. Thank you! I have been blocking this number for years. I use EJ and have told them (in the beginning) to stop calling me and to put me on their Do Not Call list. They keep calling. Have complained numerous times to my advisor..."well, we need your opinion on how we are doing." I told her I DO NOT want to be called and the people calling are young AND rude when I tell them I do not want them calling me. I am about ready to take my business elsewhere as they do not care to listen.

Missed called.  Do not know anyone in Michigan.  It is the preholidays season and appears to be one of many telephone scams so telemarketers/scammers can buy gifts, etc.

Complete full of crap scam artist stole $500 from me. Wasn't my local Edward Jones

They have called 3 Saturdays in a roll & once in the week. I do not believe they are with Edward Jones. I tried to call my agent & it they are legit I will tell them I refuse to answer any survey. This just started recently & I have been with the agency for many years. I did block them. A legit call would leave a message.

Called @ 1339. Caller ID= Unknown Name. Did NOT answer. No message left.

A call from this number came in as "Potential Spam," but I decided to pick up. A female caller said this was from Edward Jones and she wanted to do a survey. I went ahead. The survey was innocuous and relatively short with questions such as "how do you feel about the service" at a nearby office, and "how is EJ meeting your needs" in various categories. One question included personal identifying information for staff at the local office. I mentioned to the caller that (hint, hint) this call came in as potential spam, but she was oblivious to this information.

I agree with KK.. I asked my rep and he said they do call for brief surveys...

Just got a call from this number and dont know if its legit.

Got a call from this number, hit them with the "dead answer" routine - had a female voice say "Hello," but nothing else.
